Unique atmosphere and menu. Food is always great and service attentive. The bread and balsamic vinegar dip are fantastic.

On a recent evening, my wife and I decided to try Santos by Good Fellas for the first time. Unfortunately, what we hoped would be a pleasant new experience quickly took an unexpected turn.

Our visit began with a rather awkward welcome. After waiting in line for several minutes, we were finally greeted by a hostess—who also appeared to be serving tables. Her first question was whether we had reservations. We did not, and had we known they were required, we would have gladly returned at a later time. Instead, she followed up by asking if we could finish our entire meal by 7:30 p.m.—a question I have never encountered in any dining establishment. The tone felt abrupt and set an uncomfortable tone for the rest of the visit.

Once seated, our server seemed very new to the role—visibly nervous and, more concerning, extremely rushed. Shortly after, a loaf of bread was brought to the table, but it arrived cold and noticeably stale. When our entrées appeared, the disappointment continued. The pasta was overcooked to the point of being mushy, a fundamental misstep for any restaurant, especially one striving for an elevated dining experience.

The atmosphere didn’t help redeem the evening. The music repeatedly started and stopped mid-song, jumping between tracks without ever settling—an oddly distracting soundtrack to an already underwhelming meal. The overall appearance of the wait staff felt unpolished, leaving us unsure whether the restaurant was aiming for a casual quick-service identity or upscale dining. The room itself has potential, but the execution suggests deeper management challenges.

After only a few bites, we made the difficult decision to end our meal early. We paid for what we had ordered out of courtesy, then walked out and headed across the street—where we promptly enjoyed an excellent dinner with attentive service and a far more inviting atmosphere.

Our experience at Santos by Good Fellas was deeply disappointing, and based on this visit, we do not plan to return. Unfortunately, we left having paid for little more than a regrettable dining experience.

my husband's streak was cold and the server never came back to check. He told me the men's room was tiny and inadequate

TLDR: Overpriced and mediocre food with especially terrible service.

Full story, I called in to order Beef Bracciotini. The receptionist who answered the phone could not understand anything I said. I named the dish, described it off the menu, I literally spelled it out word for word. Somehow after all that Santos ended up giving me Rigatoni Sicillian.

Now, I'm nowhere near fluent in Italian; nor can I say that, as a local, I could pronounce Bracciotini. That being said Bacciotini and Rigatoni are pretty far apart in any language.

When I called to explain to the receptionist we received the wrong order, not only did she argue; she hung up the phone mid conversation. Apparently the source of the issue is Beef Bracciotini is no longer on the menu at Santos. Not only is this untrue (see attached screenshot), but why would you put someone on call-ins who has no idea what food is available, or who struggles with understanding and communicating to customers?

We called back and ordered a replacement Veal Parmigiana, only to get to the restaurant and be given the food upside down in our carry out bag. We then checked the food and it wasn't even Veal Parmigiana. The receptionist took it to the kitchen and haphazardly poured tomato sauce on what was clearly Veal Piccata.

Don't eat here. There are many, much, much better Italian food options in Salisbury: Romano's, La Cava, and Il Coloseo to name a few. If you're going for the atmosphere, which we were not, its unkempt inside. They have water marks on the ceiling, and mold on the air vents. Could not recommend, and will not be going back.

Goodbye old friend- our second trip there with slow poor service. Almost cold manicotti- out of our brand of wine & bourbon (even tho it’s on menu). Couple near us was told out of their entree even after waiting awhile. Prices on ticket more than on menu. Used to be one of our favorite places-please get it together!

Excellent Italian meal. The veal dishes were dynamite. Well made pasta. Generous pours of wine. Friendly staff and the chocolate cake was quite good. A really good meal in an unassuming location.

The house balsamic is amazing. Pasta dishes left a little more to be desired.

We’ve dined here before and had a great experience, but unfortunately, this visit was a huge letdown. I ordered the filet, and about a quarter of it was completely inedible. To make matters worse, the entire dish was drenched in Au Jus sauce—even the fruit, which was an unpleasant surprise.

We also ordered the Pollo Copacabana, which arrived on top of extremely soggy French fries. The oil and juices from the dish soaked everything, including the fruit that was added to the plate. A surprise grape when you’re expecting chicken is not ideal, and honestly, we couldn’t even eat it because of how unappetizing the fries were.

On top of that, we were charged $34 for Cupcake wine, which was not what was listed on the menu.

It’s disappointing because we know this place can be great, but it felt like an entirely different cook and experience this time. We will not be back.

It seems to be an ongoing problem, poor unattentive service! We, the guys got our steaks( delivered without steak knives). After about 7 minutes i had to go ask the waitres were the lady's dinners were!!! Their food arrived lukewarm! With the coffee we asked for cream, not available- we got some cold milk! Needles to say; we will not be back at this overrated and overpriced restsurant. On our way out we asked to speak to the owner, you think he showed up to hear our concerns?? Spend your money at a place that cares about their patrons!

I made reservations 2 weeks ago for 4 at 5 o'clock. My husband heard me make them. The person there basically called us liars and said they could seat us at 6:30. We had a play to go to and that wasn't an option. So we went across the street to Mambo Grill and Tapas and had the best salmon ever. The service was wonderful and friendly. I'm so glad they treated us like crap, b/c we had a great experience at Mambo. It isn't spicy, so don't worry if are afraid of that! I just couldn't believe how rude the person in the front of the house was. She basically said if SHE personally didn't make the reservations, they didn't count! We will never step foot in that place again, but will go Mambo regularly! I guess I should thank that awful lady! lol
