We just moved here to Carolina Lakes, and we thought we would give it a try! Best decision we have ever made about Mexican cuisine!!! When i got back home, I could not believe the amount of food my fiancé, my son, and myself actually got!!! The burrito was HUGE!!! The food was AWESOME!!! For the amount of food and the price we paid, we couldn't have been any happier!!! We ordered to go, and we could not have been more pleased!!! El Burrito is

Hard to compare with the dozens of Mexican restaurants around here, but it is definitely better than most. The food was fantastic, I tried a little bit of everyone's and they nailed it. Nothing dry, fresh tasting, and proportioned just right. I will say I had a bad batch of Horchata, like a lil watered down tasting. Didn't ruin the meal for me though. Salsa was not spicy, perfect for the kids. We spent about $80 and fed 4 adults and 5 kids.

Service was absolutely fantastic. My friend & I had Brenda serve us. She's fast & friendly & has a beautiful smile. She makes a very mean strawberry margarita that had me in tears it was so good! What else had me in happy tears was my Carnitas dinner plate. Soooo delicious I'll be back! What didn't have me in tears was the salsa & chips. I squeezed some lime juice in the salsa & made it better. And the chips needed to be warmed up or tossed out & get fresh. I must add my friend & I did get there just after 8:30 tho. So really I wasn't expecting just made fresh. But warmed up in the microwave would have been fine. And I don't want to forget I ordered a cheese enchilada on the side. Because I need to find out if this place could make it. They could. It was very good. Buttttt Brenda & I talked about the process of making it. And I really wished it was made like how I make mine & how she makes at home too. You know home made style. May I suggest Margaritas in Tahoe? They know how to get down with their food. All of it. Not just some. Let's all go take a trip out West. Margaritas will not disappoint!!! So in conclusion I WILL BE BACK & I HOPE BRENDA WILL BE MY SERVER AGAIN (I hope I didn't get too pushy & picky) & I'll DO A REPEAT ON MY ORDER. Thank you Mel

For my first time going I would have to say I’m disappointed in the service. I requested a water with my margarita(no water) then when my son ordered he requested steak a they gave him pork(he don’t eat pork). The waitress seemed upset because I just wanted to change out the dish. Thank you to the manager for changing the dish. What makes me more upset is that she never came back to check on us. Mind you I’m I know customer service been a waitress over 10yrs.. so my demeanor towards her was nice. Overall my son stated his food wasn’t seasoned enough for his liking.
