We randomly found this restaurant and we're glad we did. I agree that the outside is a bit nondescript but inside is really fun. Our food was fresh and delicious and our server was great.
Finally tried this place by eating in instead of to go. The food was barely ok and worth the price. Service was excellent. My wife enjoyed her menudo but the bistec and naples I had were flavorless and the meat had a texture like it had been stewed for way too long. Probably would not go back with the many other Mexican options in Sanford.
HOWEVER. When you buy food to go, they will always give you the MINIMAL portion of rice. CONSISTENTLY. Compare portions of rice to other Mexican restaurants. You will see El Rosas cut corners when you buy food from this restaurant.
