I went and got my mother and I a plate today. Let me just say WOW! Bbq is hit and miss for us, but that is the best bbq I have ever had. It is smoked so well I really didn’t need sauce for it. It was good by itself. Got a few lemon pepper wings and they were awesome too. The side of collard green are cooked in the bbq meat. YUMMY! They had many varieties of sauces, and also had their own pickled onions, pickles, and a type of relish that was free with your meal that was Yummy as well. I’m telling everyone I see to stop and enjoy some Awesome BBQ!

The meats were outstanding but the sides were out of this world. I’m a diabetic and I’m not supposed to eat allot of carbs but my wife got the potato salad and Mac and cheese and I almost finished them for her.
The brisket and pulled pork were fantastic.
We will definitely be back. In fact we took a couple lbs home of the brisket and pulled pork and some sides it was so good.
PS: the staff was amazing as well, shipper friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great dinner.

In a word… delicious! I had a pulled pork platter with collards and mountain cornbread - all of which were super fresh (absolutely NO food service vibes here whatsoever). The meat was freshly smoked and full of flavor. I had sweet red and Appalachian white sauce. The combination was perfect with the fresh pickles, red onions and smoked meat. The collards were leafy (not full of stems like you get at other places) and the mountain cornbread with sorghum butter was heavenly. We will drive down from Franklin for this again!

Not sure why it took us almost 3 years to try this place. (Well, maybe because we’ve been busy beating cancer, remodeling and moving, starting a new job, and getting married!) 🤪🤪🤪
Anyway… We finally tried Blue Hound Barbecue today and we give it 2 👍🏻 👍🏻! I had the brisket cheesesteak and Richard had the burnt ends stew. We also got a few sides to share. Delicious. All of it! The folks there are super friendly and it was a great experience all the way around. We will definitely be going back and encourage any of you that haven’t tried it to go for it!

I’m so glad we have this level of good barbecue in Dillard, Ga now. I’ve enjoyed the Blue Hound too many times to count and will keep coming back. The daily specials are always fabulous and the ‘cue is always tender, flavorful, and juicy + the variety of sauces makes this place stand out. Do yourself a favor and try the pork belly bites & the bbq eggrolls!

Finally made the trek up from Cornelia after listening to much talk about how good this place is. Well, we are a picky, foodie group and we were planning our next visit on the way home! It was absolutely that delicious 🤎😋👏

This was a little bit of a letdown from our last visit. Stupid me, I made a big mistake and ordered something other than BBQ from a BBQ joint. The pastrami sandwich looked absolutely delicious - but the pastrami was a single, very thick cut.... stringy, and overly chewy. Classic pastrami is generally multiple layers of a thin cut, which makes it easier to handle. The flavor was otherwise okay, but I have had better. The sweet potato crunch was almost like a rich dessert.... and my wife said the collards were some of the best she's ever had. She thought her chicken was pretty good - but not the best she's had in the area. The service was lightning fast... it almost beat us to the table. So, lesson learned - stick with the BBQ, and you won't likely be disappointed....

Ribs were tougher than shoe leather, pulled pork was dry and chewy, coleslaw was shredded cabbage with mayonnaise, overall expensive and disappointing. First two items I attempted to order "oh we're out".

Excellent brisket and turkey. Mac and cheese leaves a lot to be desired. Sauces were a bit more vinegar than tomato. Still nice.
