“A local favorite among the hispanic population but there's multiple people who are regulars, such as African-American, Caucasian, and more. They're open on Fridays and Saturdays. Bottled beer is sold by the bottle or can or a bucket of 5 for a discount. There are pool tables and a DJ. Recently a female latina sings live. Dancing is encouraged. Smoking is allowed outside only. There is the bar and stools but tables, booths and couches for sitting. There's no cover charge usually. On special occassions such as televised boxing or soccer championships draw a huge crowd and a reasonable cover charge. Grilled meat on the large cooker is sometimes available (for free).“

“We ordered the burnt ends and Carolina burger. Both meals were very good. My husband had the burger he said it was good but average. I had the Burnt ends they were very flavorful and cook perfectly. We had our dog with us and they let us sit on the patio which was nice and quiet at that time. Would definitely go back.“
“The oldest bar in Smithfield, the Little Brown Jug originally operated as a Pure Oil Station in the 1950's, it was a place where you could get your car serviced and a grab a beer in the back room. This awesome staple of Smithfield has been serving its community in more ways than one for a long time and is very popular with the locals, but you don't have to be a local to feel the love the owners have put into this place. You can't help but relax in this cozy and chill environment! Regardless of whether your sitting outside on the large patio or inside the bar, there is not an uncomfortable chair in the house. As far as I am concerned you wont find a colder beer anywhere, and you certainly won't find a better assortment of beer in any bar within 20 miles. Total Wine or Wegman's doesn't count. This is a great little bar owned by a couple of great owners, Smithfield is lucky to have it.Cheers!“

“This is a good place to grab a burger and brew or a good pizza. The building is small and seating is a bit cramped, but there always seems to be a line of patrons waiting to be seated. We've had a good experience here, plus they've expanded to outside seating as well. Worth a shot, especially on weekdays when it's not so busy. Parking can be tough at times. Weekends you'll likely be waiting some time for seating. Prices are reasonable and service is good!!!“
“This is small, local watering hole, but the people there made it really fun. Artie and his karaoke made the place quite entertaining, and he really encouraged crowd participation. It felt like a place where everybody knew each other and enjoyed each other's company. I would go back in a minute!“
“I've recently started DJing karaoke here on Sunday nights (8:00p.m-12:00a.m) and I've gotta say I'm really digging this spot. The place isn't very big but more than makes up for it with the atmosphere and generosity of the staff and regulars. From the moment I walked in for the first time they treated me as a friend. If you're looking for a place to drink and a good time without any drama that you come across at some of the bigger bars, I definitely recommend Plan B.“
“Nice big open space and wonderful band EdgeNash or something that combines two different counties. They said it was their first time playing, they did really well. I don't know if the bartender was hating or what, but she was very unfriendly and didn't make my drinks neat Per requested, but added lots of ice. I am always very friendly and tip well to those in the customer service industry because I have been in their shoes many years.“

“The ambience is welcoming and local friendly. The food is consistently delicious and the menu is varied. Good place for a casual lunch or business mtg. Dinner is relaxing and unrushed, the service is not in your face but staff easily anticipates the flow. Nice wine list and full bar.“

“We stopped in to check them out after dinner at Mama Nem's next door. It's a little "hole in the wall" spot with a cool bartender/owner. We were welcomed and felt comfortable chilling here for a quick beer, though she knew our names by the time we left. If you're in Selma, I recommend checking it out!“
