I have been coming to Jumping Java since they opened back in 2006. The coffee, specialty drinks and snacks have always been fresh and very tasty! The baristas all have their own personalities that help make the shops that much more special! You won’t find a fresher cup of coffee in Shallotte. Support your local caffeine dealer!

Well I usually go to the drive-thru but I went in this time very dark dingy, seedey. The pastries look very old in the display case, an older women waiters on you with not a tooth in her mouth 😳

This is my daily go to! If you’re in town for vacation, skip the starbs and the sugar rush of 7brew. JJ has REAL espresso and the best strong coffee flavor. They have tons of flavors and also have pumpkin spice all year. Love the people that work/own this place so much. Wouldn’t be caffeinated without them :)

Lengthy but Meaningful Review Incoming:

My wife and I just stopped in for a new coffee place to try and I wanted a little sweet treat with my coffee. I saw they had homemade blueberry muffins in the display case and decided to add that to the order.

After sitting outside and unwrapping it, we noticed that unfortunately there had been a small patch of mold on the muffin.

I walked back in and made them aware of the situation and they were so apologetic and went above and beyond to make up for nature’s baking hiccup. They gave me options of another type of muffin and a cheese danish (which I also love) and I happily accepted the cheese danish. They again apologized and were super kind and attentive to do whatever possible to make the situation right.

As my wife and I were enjoying our coffee outside, one of the staff who helped earlier came out and gifted us a whole new blueberry muffin after texting with her owner about the situation!! They really really went above and beyond and it just showed my wife and I where our new coffee spot in town will be 😊

This place not only makes great food and coffee, but treats its customers like real people and they each love what they do. Whether you are just passing through, or looking for your new local coffee shop, Jumpin Java should be that place for you 👍🏼
