Let me start off by saying that my family travels a lot all over the country and it's hard to find genuine and friendly people in the restaurant business anymore. Trust me, I get it. Dealing with the public can be taxing, I get it. BUT, this little place didn't just meet my expectations but exceeded with the kindness and friendliness of the owner and the waitresses. We brought our two Boston terriers to dine with us because we are from out of town and didn't want to leave them behind. I wish I had asked the name of the guy running the place (assumably the owner?), but he was so kind to our dogs and brought them water, talked to them and talked to us as if he'd known us for years. The waitress reminded me of someone out of movie who was classy, professional and cared about the experience. The wine was good, food was amazing and overall could have sat there all day. Will be back and will bring Charlie and Bo with us.

We are first timers..Had heard a lot of great things .. Definitely did not disappoint!! Incredible ravioli. Service was excellent.. Ambiance perfect.. We will be regulars..

There were 5 of ladies for dinner. Made a reservation and taken promptly to our table. It took a long while for the server to come over and give us menus and water. We then waited a good 20 minutes just to order our drinks. I asked for lime in my drink twice and it never came not even a straw. Then it took forever to take our orders. Then salad came which was dry and all hearts of romaine no green in the Caesar. We just got our salads and entrees came. Four of us ordered the Chilean sea bass special. The fish was cooked perfectly but it and “roasted” vegetables were swimming in a harsh tasting butter sauce. We were all very disappointed and underwhelmed. $40 for a very small piece of fish. My husband loves their steaks so maybe we just ordered the wrong entree. To top the evening off the air conditioner was broken and we were all dripping with sweat. The overall experience was over 3 hours with not even dessert or coffee was suggested.

Our server was very informative and helpful. Our food was served piping hot and was excellent. The waitress and chef made accommodations for my wife's entree, as she is vegan. My entree (Shrimp Rustica) was outstanding.

Great service. Service was wonderful. But what truly stood out wa the size of the portions for the price. I think this will feed me 2 more meals! Excellent!

Our server, Sherree, was FABULOUS! She was probably one of the best, if not the best, servers we have ever had! We spoke with the manager and expressed how pleased we were with the service. Will definitely ask to be seated in her section next time we visit Lucca's!! Oh, food was outstanding also!

There were 4 of us eating here today and we all enjoyed our meals. Our server,Kelly, was really good. She explained all the specials and took very good care of us with a great smile. I recommend Lucca's to anyone wanting a delicious Italian meal

The food was outstanding. Authentic meals and phenomenal flavor. Only downfall service was very very slow. The restaurant was very warm. Over all a great experience and we will be back.

First time here. Cocktails were perfect. Wine selection extensive. Veal Parmigiana special was outstanding. Enough food to two people! My friends had the Lasagna and Ravioli. All the portions were plentiful. Excellent sauce.

We love dining here when in town. It's great for families and we enjoy the solo nights as well. Best homemade pasta and steaks. Salads and desserts are excellent. Great little find in Shallotte.

Amazing experience always! I made reservations for my wife's 50th birthday and they were so kind to have a birthday card waiting for her when we sat down! The food was amazing. The drinks were amazing. Definitely give it a shot if you've never been there and go again if you have.
