We've all made questionable choices on an empty stomach, and this was nearly one of them. We pulled into the lot, parked, and even got as far as sitting down inside. I opened the McDonald's app and started piecing together dinner: Filet-O-Fish combo for Mrs. K., chicken wrap combo for me. While I was tapping through the order, she returned from the ladies room with a look that said more than words. The restroom wasn't clean, and two nearby tables still hadn't been cleared. Then I glanced at the total over $20. For McDonald's?
That was enough. We stood up and walked out before committing. Somewhere out there was a dinner that would be cleaner, healthier, and easier on the wallet. This just wasn't it.

If I could give zero stars I would. I waited 20 minutes in a designated space to get food. Then went inside to find a filthy mess and no one even looked at me while I stood at the register. I cut my $17.16 loss and walked out! NEVER to return. Don’t go here! It’s a real mess and filthy.

Service varies at different locations. Shallotte McDonalds was not clean. The service was poor. We dined in with our grandchildren. The table had fingerprints and water circles on it. I asked a person for wipes to clean table. We were ignored. There was only 3 staff members visible. I cleaned the table with napkins and hand sanitizer before allowing the kids to eat. Food was not good.
