I was in Shallotte for a few days from southern CA, and Home Style Foods more than satisfied my craving for authentic southern food. I got my biscuits and grits w/cheese fix, and - just as important - friendly, accommodating staff (who didn't skip a beat despite our big demanding party). Highly recommend!

This is one of the places where the locals go to eat breakfast. I knew I was at the right place when I saw all the pickup trucks in the parking lot. No 'fast food' junk here. Hometown folks, home style food, great coffee and service like you got at your aunt Jane's house when you were a kid. I'll be coming back here. Count on it.

So the prices always different don’t matter that I order the same food everytime then today 10/7/23 my kids and husband went this morning to pick up our food like always get home egg shells in my food and I was missing food so I called and they said it was A 30 mins wait after the wait rhey would make my eggs my food would have been cold by then so I said no. I really love to eat here but it’s always something at this place and when we have a problem it’s like it gets over looked so after all these years I will not be back …. And I get the add on story they gave but I get the same thing no add on I ordered like the menu has it
