I really wanted to like this new restaurant. Such a great location and very excited to see it renovated. But, after our first visit recently, my husband and I left pretty dissatisfied with the food. I had the shrimp Louie salad, & the first thing I noticed was the avocado was more brown then green. I might have eaten it that way at home but I would never serve it to guests that way. Didn't have to wait long to be seated. Drink order came out quickly. Ordered two appetizers and four meals. Appetizers came out quickly, however the server told us they had NO PLATES for us!! Had to eat out of the serving dish or off of napkins. Food was served. Brisket was so-so. Chicken fajitas not too good. Wings so-so. My seafood plate was good. BBQ is uninspired, but marginally competent. Zero bark flavor. The food is entirely reliant on the sauce to carry it. The sauces are hit or miss. Atmosphere is good. Ribs and brisket were tender, but bland. Smoked wings were naked, but the one bright spot on the menu. Texas sauce was 5*, Alabama was 1*.
