We were in town for a funeral and afterward we went to eat. We stopped at the Beehive. super nice couple! that we found out were the owners. They explained the menu and what you get with each meal. They spoke like we we old friends. the food was delicious!! It was better than I had expected! We were also give a sample of the fried oreo's!! Do not miss getting those!! Needless to say, we left fat and happy!! I promise we will be back!! Thanks for having such a friendly place!!

My husband and I came in wanting to try since the new owners but we were so disappointed we both got burgers the burger patty’s had no flavor the lettuce was mushy and for the price we paid u would think the burger would have been big but they so were small we also order a side of okra it was so greasy and it looked like it had been double dipped to reheat it the guy was really nice but personally we will not be returning!!!

We have looked for a good hot dog place since we moved here 5 years ago .. we have tried every “the best hotdogs” in town and none of them compared to our beloved hometown hotdogs till today at the BHC .. finally my family has a little slice of hometown food place to go in our new hometown !! my family’s quest for the best hotdog in town is over !!
They have amazing food, down home hospitality, first class customer service, reasonable food, and the best atmosphere !! The owners are super nice and very attentive . They make you feel 1000% welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. Almost before the door can shut behind you. 10/10 .. and WORTH VERY PENNY !! I’m a new customer for life !!

Over the past 5 years my family has tried everywhere in and near Shelby that sales Hot Dogs to find one as good as the ones we get in our hometown in eastern NC. Not one worth given a second chance till the Bee Hive Cafe. And They are now our new weekly hot dog place for life ! They have amazing food, reasonable prices , super welcoming atmosphere and 1st class customerservice. 100% worth every penny !!

My wife had the blt, it was fresh and pipping hot. I had the fried chicken, okra, and mashed potatoes. The food was very good, and hot. The only suggestion I have is to get some more sides; like maybe mac n' cheese, corn, or green beans.

We wanted to go and pulled up out front, but turned around and left after seeing how shady the place looked. Looks very unfriendly, resembles a dive or something, didn't feel safe going in so we just left.
