Yamatos still has better shrimp sauce but overall food quality and portion sizes are much better at Hoshi. My favorite thing to get here is hibachi steak with mushrooms. I typically prefer teriyaki but the teriyaki has a weird flavor in my opinion. The employees are friendly enough and the food is very consistent. I think it might be the best express Japanese in Cleveland County.

Drive thru only, though the line was so long I walked up to the door. Beware the prices you see online are not current. I got 2 sides of chicken, I side shrimp and 4 sides rice and paid $38... way more than I was expecting. You cannot eat inside and will be charged for sauces.

Take out orders only. Food is the best Japanese around. Drive thru is fast to get ur order out. I don't want to go back to other similar places. Food has a lot of flavor, chicken not dry and flavorless like other places I have gotten food from before. Plates have a lot of food. I have made two meals from one plate before. Prices are ok 10 to 15 per person. Have been here several times and definitely will be back.

Hoshi express is the best japanese in cleveland county by far. I live 5 minutes from a more well known japanese restaurant (Yamatos), but I make the 20 minute drive to boiling springs because they're that good. Drive through only, I recommend calling your order in ahead of time.
