Southwest salad was good but how old do you think these avacado slices are??? So much for “fresh”! Almost wasn’t gonna eat the salad, because these things grossed out out so bad.
I’ll think twice before I go back, which is so sad because I loved McAlister’s.

Don’t get me wrong, the food is good. I’ve eaten at this chain before. But I am so TIRED of paying for crappy service. Call me a “Karen” or whatever you want, but it costs NOTHING to be a kind person. If you are in the service industry, work on your customer service. Managers, don’t hire rude people!! I’m sick of ordering food and asking questions about menu items, just to be met with an attitude of “I don’t want to be here, why are you so stupid” by the employees. They don’t have name tags, but watch out for the girl with the red braids at the Shelby location. She’ll treat you like you’re an idiot.

Great food great service be sure to try the pastrami cornbread sandwich its so good and piled high with pastrami and corned beef together in one sandwich. I chose fresh fruit as my side it was perfect.
Normally, I would brag about the quality and freshness of the food here but tonight I’m more than disappointed. I ordered and stopped to pick up on my way to a 12 hour shift. On the menu, the chili looks fantastic but what I got was not chili, it was more like hotdog chili (no tomato chunks, and no beans). The salad was alright but would have been much better if they had remembered my dressing. But the sandwich was completely disappointing. Wrong bread, no turkey, no mayo, no mustard, no onion. Absolutely not what I ordered but what I’m stuck eating since I don’t have access to outside food while at work. Just awful!

I came in one day to eat at mcalisters and I had got a Cuban when I received the Cuban it was a big piece of long hair in my food when I took it back to tell the manager her name was Regina she said she’ll have that remade for me so I went to sit down as I’m waiting I see one of the employees take the long piece of hair out my food sat the plate to the side for some minutes brought it back to my table and said the manager had them to remake it I left because that’s so nasty and disgusting. I remember this manger from Wendy’s she got fired because she stole $500 from the drawer

I just dropped $26 on a baked potato with cheese and a salad, only to get home and realize two things: no dressing, and the potato was basically a senior citizen. It tasted so old it should’ve come with Social Security and a rocking chair. Smh

This place is awesome! I have loved their food since the first time I tried it in Gastonia. Sunday I placed my first online order with them. When we got home with the food, I realized one item was left out. A bowl of potato soup. I called and they took down my name so I could get it replaced next time I go. I went in yesterday, Monday, to get it and the manager went above and beyond to compensate me for my trouble. I received my bowl of soup plus a free drink and dessert of my choice.... sugar cookie ❤️. At that moment...I have a new favorite restaurant in Shelby. Thank you to all of the workers and the awesome manager. 💯
