I love Shelby pelicans so much! The employees are very kind and quick to take your order. The owner himself even puts in the work, and he is very kind. The flavors are outstanding you can really tell they take their time. There has not been a time where I haven’t left satisfied. It’s a great place to take your kids and family. They are very well out together and I wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else!! Love pelicans!!!!!

I gave half stars because I normally don't have any problems and I was excited they had just opened back up. Sat at the window for 5-10 mins and no one ever came. I heard them inside though cursing up a storm. F this F that. Very sad.

I Love Pelican’s Snowballs! Been going there for several years at least once a week during the season. Management changed in 2023 at the North Post Road Shelby facility, and employees are NOT being trained how to make the snowballs properly, their attitudes could use some adjustment and the bathroom facility was filthy on April 28th. We were the only car in line-there were 3 kids inside doing nothing and we had to knock on the window to get their attention. Then the snowball was packed down so hard there was no room for the syrup, so it was not the treat I’m used to getting and loving. I’m glad a Pelican’s has opened in Boiling Springs and they seem eager to please and know how to make the snowballs. That’s where we will be going now!

The place is nice, the product isn't bad (even though it's not really my thing) ... The service was friendly, so I don't really know if this was on purpose or not, but... While paying for the three regular SnoBalls we got, we were asked if we wanted to leave a tip... I had handed my credit card to my girlfriend, and so when asked if we wanted to leave a tip, she turned to ask me... I hesitated because... I'm already paying $13.50 for three cups of sweetened ice..... And to me, a tip is for someone providing special service... Not just doing the absolute basics of their job. The people behind the counter should be getting paid for what they're doing... Especially if I'm being charged 13 bucks for a little bit of frozen water and flavoring. Anyway... I didn't feel that any tip had been earned yet, so I hesitated at the question. So my girlfriend just went ahead and answered "no". The girl didn't treat us like it was a problem... She was very friendly and pleasant, so I don't necessarily think she was behind anything... But, when our SnoBalls came up, one at a time, the first one was full, the second one was full, but my girlfriend's cup was only about 2/3 full at best. It was very clearly not a full cup. We had sat down before hers was served, and my girlfriend, alone at the counter, didn't want to raise a fuss because the line was getting crowded, so she accepted it. We tried to figure out if there was some justifiable reason that hers was shorter, and we couldn't come up with a good reason. It SEEMED as if, because she said 'no' to the tip, that she was given less than what she ordered and paid for. MAYBE it wasn't intentional, but I don't know how a thing like that could have happened by mistake. And either way... If it WASN'T intentional, then it means that for $13.50 we got LESS than three little cups of sweet ice.... Which I'm even less satisfied with.
