Did a small road trip with a friend and we stopped in at this place. It was absolutely amazing!!! My first southern food experience was not disappointing. The food and the atmosphere was great! Everyone was so welcoming. If I ever pass through again, I'm definitely stopping back in.

Stopped in for lunch while traveling through Shelby.
We found good food, great attentive service and a very lively atmosphere during the lunch hour. Flavoring of their food is specific to the Region, and while not my specific pick was good overall.

Red Bridges Barbecue Lodge is a true Carolina classic! The barbecue has that authentic, smoky flavor that keeps people coming back, and the hush puppies are always a favorite. The portions are generous and satisfying, and the prices are fair for the quality you get. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel like a family tradition. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that it can get really busy, which sometimes means a bit of a wait—but honestly, that just shows how loved this place is. Definitely worth a stop if you’re anywhere near Shelby!

Been eating Red Bridges BBQ for decades and it is the best! The quality of the food is great and i love their warm dipping sauce especially after it has thickened up after most of the day on the stove!
My Dad used to be a car hop at Reds when it was on Fallston Road!

I'm not one to give negative reviews. I am a huge fan of good bbq. But, with all the hype I've heard about Red Bridges, I honestly wasn't impressed. For Lexington style bbq, it's just not hitting on much. I do like the fact that you can get sun drop products here though.

I and a friend stopped by for a late lunch on A Friday afternoon the 29th Aug. The place smelled of fine food and a lot of people were happy. We arrived at the wrong time and here was no seating and a line to be served. We had sampled some of their food that they were catering at an event at the county fairgrounds just up the road, this was the reason we decided to top in. Next time maybe we will have better luck..

The hushpuppies were amazing and the service was a 10. I was not in the least bit impressed with the rest of the food. Once was enough
