The people here are even sweeter than the tea (which is delicious by the way). From the atmosphere, to the perfectly cooked hush puppies it’s a 10/10 for me. Can’t wait to come back.

This North Carolina staple had been on my list to visit for a long time considering all my passes through Shelby. I was impressed by the prices especially when compared to the large portions of well made southern deliciousness. Will be a new have-to stop on my way down Highway 74. Service was top notch. Food came out quick and hot. I recommend the hush puppies as a starter. I am going to go back and try everything else on the menu as the BBQ was so good everything else has to be as well! I've only been coming by and eating a meal here for about 40 years and everytime I'm here there are customers within that have been eating here for longer than I have!Today I got the jumbo bbq plate (specifically sliced and outside cut) and it was wonderful! Even added an order of onion rings and boxed a few hush puppies and some big sliced chunks in a box to take home.All I can ever say is WOW!You cannot find a friendlier staff!Drop in for a dine in if you can find a parking space (lol)
Just not up to par as a BBQ place. Ordered the half of chicken n this could have easily been made at home in a slow cooker. Hubby didn't even want to eat it. He ate the sides ( potato salad and something else that was unmemorable) even though he was mad at how the chicken was prepared.... Not on a grill.

This is absolutely the best barbecue in NC. Go here all the time and have never be let down.
The food is amazing A+ service and hospitality is great southern dining at its finest bought a motorcycle from the owner and he offered me and my father food free at cost and everything was amazing and fresh owner is very humble will recommend this place to anyone!
