Best sub / sandwich spot in town. All the ingredients were fresh, and their bread is unbeatable. I had the #29 on rye today (comes as a sandwich instead of sub) and they gave me two since I ordered a large. Worth the money!
While it is a classic sub station its mid compared to the rest, if you are in competition with places like subway or jersey mikes then step it up a notch or two, if i had to choose between this substation or subway while im in shelby ill choose subway, if im in gastonia if i had a choice between subway or substation im choosing substation because the one in gastonia is 10x better then the one in shelby, customer service was exceptional but no sauces other then mayo and mustard...
Until I met my fiancé, I had never been to a substation.
Nowadays, whenever I’m down in the area it’s a great lunch option. Staff are friendly as can be and place is always clean. Food is great! I’d recommend the #19 on the almighty Pita!
