I had THE BEST experience with ordering catering with Daniel for a Christmas lunch for 65 people. He was soooooo pleasant to work with - enthusiastic, helpful in my decision making, responsive (which means the world to me!), and on time! Everyone went out of their way to tell me how delicious the food was and wanted to know where it came from! I was proud to tell them! We had pulled pork, BBQ chicken, mac n cheese (omg!!!! To die for), smoked cabbage, potato salad, salad trays, rolls. I’m telling you, this was all sooooo yum and there was plenty of it. Without a doubt, I’ll be a returning customer! Thank you, 815!!!

Wow! This place was so impressive. I placed an order online while I got my oil changed on an 8 hour road trip from NC to MD.
The first time we try a new place we usually order several things from the menu in case we don't like something, we'll still get something we like. Since we do this every time we go somewhere new, I know that not very often does everything we order from a place taste great. It did today!
Everything tasted great and the size of the sandwiches were pretty large. The guy that brought my order out was very friendly.
I ordered a big mutha Clucker (grilled chicken, bacon and macaroni sandwich.) I never thought I would like such a thing but it was probably the best thing I got. We also ordered the Philly cheese steak bratwurst and the Carolina monster. The fries, potato salad and macaroni were all good as well.

Tried this place with 3 other people because of the good reviews.. and boy was this a let down.. when you first walk in everything seems off about this place, it didn't even seem like a restaurant. Ordered the carnivore mac and cheese, sweet tea and a side of parmesan fries.. 28 bucks.. I'm like ok this gonna be some good food for that price. Go sit down and the tables are empty.. no napkins no s&p nothing. Waitress eventually brings our drinks and it's a cup of ice and a bottle drink.🤦🏽 bottle sweet tea, come on!!! Now I have to ration my drink with my meal. Meal comes out. Both dishes was served in black plastic Togo containers and one of them was Crack and sharp. With plastic fork. The parmesan fries just had a few slivers of shredded parmesan on top(not melted) with some dry parsley. The actual fries was decent. Definitely not worth what they charged. Now the mac and cheese bowl looked great.. I dove into it and the steak was tough as all get out. The actual mac and cheese was the best thing. Could have used some salt and pepper but none was found. My buddy got burger and said it was OK he wanted ketchep for his fries and he eventually got it. Another got sausage dog and she didn't like it. I feel like this is a product of someone owning a food truck and then opening a restaurant but still running it like a food truck is what it felt like to me.

Straight up great burger and brat (among other things) place, they have salads and chicken sandwiches too. And definitely mac and cheese. I got the Bleu Devil burger (stick with me UNC fans) with a side of the mac and cheese, and it was delicious. I went Friday, about 1:30, and three others were there. Easy order over at the right-side counter area: there was no way to leave a tip that way. I sat on the left "bar" side that had several booths and tables with 2 tv's, a few standard and craft beers on tap (Hoppyum included), a house and top shelf liquor of several different mashes, with a jazz Sirius XM station playing. I like jazz ok. I got a bottled Coke. The burger and mac came out in due order with spices showing and tasting in and on the beef, the Bleu cheese melted perfectly, tasty but not overwhelming jalapeño, and lettuce, tomato, and onion fresh cut. They brought 4 napkins and I used them all, but none ran down my beard and I try to be respectful and wipe my mouth after each large bite. It was absolutely wonderful. I had the fork just in case I couldn't put the hamburger (a large chunk or two) back on the bun, but I managed not to need it. I brought some mac and cheese home, somewhat begrudgingly, to my lovely wife... she loves mac and cheese. I guess I better bring her soon, and will! Great place. Given the right circumstances I'd order a burger or brat, and a double and be quite content. I was very much content with the burger, mac, and Coke

The food @ 815 Gourmet Grill is pure decadence! The prices are reasonable and the servings are bigger than you’d expect. The service is A+ and I will certainly be returning. The Mac n cheese is amazing and lacking nothing. You will not be disappointed 😋

My friend Daniel told me about this place and said the Burgers and the Mac and Cheese were awesome and he wasn’t kidding! I ordered the Problem Burger with a side of Parmesan Fries and it was delicious! I’m definitely coming back again!

So sad that I’ve tried this place on 6 different occasions and they’ve been shut for various reasons. The most upsetting was today when I arrived and yet again they were closed (after I called and spoke to an employee yesterday and they said 12-4 , which is what the door says as well) . I’ve ran businesses so I am super understanding (hence trying 6 times) but it seems impossible to actually eat at this establishment.

I came to post the feedback so the owner can understand how potential customers are feeling, saw that others had posted similar comments and the responses from the owner is passive aggressive and borderline blaming customers for not understanding. What I will say is a small business can’t grow without consistency and can’t grow when you blame customers or would be customers for sharing constructive feedback. I would have still been inclined to give them another try but their defensive remarks to a simple review only show me that they can’t take ownership for their own mistakes so god forbid I actually try it and they are open and something is wrong, how will they respond?
If you can’t take ownership, apologize and ask customers how to make it right, you are long to be in business bc ppl will spend their hard earned money where they are valued and appreciated.

Edit: the owner did acknowledge that they’ve had struggles and I’m sure it’s hard to see negative reviews so I appreciate them reaching out. I hope everything works out and they can continue to make improvements. Some review seems very promising and I know I want to find a locally owned great burger spot

Tried coming to this place a few times and it's always closed. Their schedule can't be trusted and it closes on a whim, I even called to check if they were open the day I planned on coming. If you are looking for a consistent burger place, this ain't it.

Edit: got a reply from the owner saying they don't close on a whim, I called yesterday to make sure they were open today and was told they would be, I checked because they also closed last Sunday. After the review they also changed their store hours on Google to reflect their closure today. To the owner thanks for the reply but this whole shell game has drained my desire to visit your restaurant.

I wish it was more clear that we needed to order on the website so we didn’t sit around listening to the stomach grumbling for 20 minutes. Also, website doesn’t work for adult drinks.
However, the food is very tasty!

The food was phenomenal, plenty of seating when we walked in. There was plenty of parking, which is free. The young lady, who was possibly the hostess, was able to answer all questions about the menu.
We were able to sit for an extended period of time without feeling rushed.
Overall , I really enjoyed the meal and the vibe of the atmosphere. The only thing, which is miniscule, that there is some confusion when you first come in,n regard to seating. As a tourist/ first timer, it was unclear if I was to seat myself or wait to be seated. if there was a sign with some direction on how to proceed, that would have made a smoother transition.
One of the chefs came out to deliver the food to our table, he was very friendly and knowledgeable and came back to check on us to make sure that everything was fine.
Overall this was a great experience. The seating may be an isolated incident since this was my first time there, which is not worth a ding in stars. I would definitely go back to visit if I was in the area again.
