Holt Lake Bar-B-Que & Seafood

Worst seafood experience I have had in a very long time. Scallops are not true scallops. All the same size. Stringy and no sweet, buttery flavor. None! Over breaded, over cooked oysters and bland, tasteless trout. Thought I could possibly have covid because nothing had any flavor. Slaw was run of the mill, fried okra can't really be messed up. Tea was on the better side than most restaurants. Most expensive tea, hushpuppies and okra I ever consumed! You've been informed.

Service is great. Seafood now days is expensive anywhere you go. I don't mind paying as long as it good. I got a whole flounder plate it had to be fryed for at least 30 minutes. Way way over cooked. I try to do business with local folks. That is unacceptable.

Great place to get some good Barbecue ' pulled or chopped. Lots of sides and also a very good buffet with some great chicken . A country setting with really friendly folks.

Food was good tonight. Service was slow. Got what was supposed to be all you can eat shrimp. Seemed like it took 20 minutes to get second helping and wasn’t gonna wait another 20-30 minutes for more. Seems like they would be better prepared for something like that especially since it was “all you could eat”!

BBQ did not have much flavor, the slaw had horseradish in it??, canned bland green beans, hush puppy was ok, fried chix leg was ok, everything bland, needs seasoning.

I thought the pork bbq and hushpuppies were great. The fried chicken I didn't like as much. Everything else was good.

It was the first time I ever went to Holt restaurants and my experience with my family is that it was nice that people were courteous and polite down to earth it was a family-oriented restaurant and the food was great and everything else was great too

I come here faithfully at least 2 times a week because the quality of the food and the service is truly that GOOD!!!

The food was really good, service was also great, the people that work there were very friendly, my overall experience was great

Plenty of tasty food at reasonable prices! We had the All You Can Eat baby flounder fillets. It came with 2 decent-sized portions of sides. One round was all we needed - good and full! The hushpuppies were some of the best we've had anywhere - very hot and crispy.

Great food and very friendly staff! The prices are very reasonable. Will definitely go back.

Take out fried oysters were good. Love that they have a drive thru.

Was not told prices and value piece of flounder they had got different brand and prices went up.We told waitress at beginning of order we wanted 2 combination plates twice.When she brought flounder 2 small size. We asked waitress we got combination 1 piece fish and clam strips. She said yes that's the combination plate of 2.. When went to pay the lady at checkout it was over by 10.00 we pay. She insisted what waitress wrote was right. Then she talked very rude and I paid. When I got to car husband suggested I call manager.I was told he was not there. I called right back to lady at register they gave phone to owner. He was very rude. I told him we drove 2 hours to eat there.He said some folks want free .I replied I was going to pay .He argued then said with new prices and locals new they had changed fish sizes and price I would have overpaid by 4.00 dollars what did I want. I said buy yourself a piece of pie and I would not recommend their place anymore.

This is really good southern BBQ. The chicken is really good too. It has a great flavor.

Very tasty, the potatoes were a lil sweet, not your traditional potatoe. (Usually made w hot sauce in it).
