the female owner is always extremely rude, We don’t understand why we receive such bad service every time we go here, as we are regulars. Wouldn’t doubt if it was discriminatory, as we looked around she would attend her white customers so much better!! its such a shame because we love the food, but we had enough discrimination. we will not be coming back

Enjoy coffee and breakfast every morning !! Enjoy the effort put forth by the owners , to get to know you and what you enjoy to eat , And a special thank you to my buddy Conner , he’s a blessing to see everyday!!! Go by check them out and tell them Pastor Gene sent you!! You want be disappointed !!! Try the grilled ham and pimento cheese sandwich with the home fries!! JUST GO!! The Diner is better than your local McDonald’s, Waffel house, or etc!

Kid-friendliness: The kids love the candy dish on the counter!!

This small diner is family owned and run and it shows in all the best ways. The service is personable and lighthearted. You can immediately gather that this place has its regulars within the community.
I had their double cheeseburger and fries. I honestly wasn't expecting much considering the generous prices but the food definitely blew those expectations out of the water!
The burger was well seasoned and cooked through without being too dry and the fries were cut and fried in-house.
I should note that I opted for the upcharge of fries due to past experiences with places offering chips in the form of lays. Their chips also appear to be made in-house and while the fries were good I regret not trying the chips.

All in all, this is a wondeful place for those on a budget that hits way above its weight class in terms of service and taste!

Went there last week and had the meatloaf special with mashed potatoes and black eyed peas. Truly authentic homemade food. The plate was plentiful. Enough to fill a box.

Anytime I'm in Smithfield I try to stop here. You get a good portion of delicious food for a reasonable price. The sanitation score was 99%. I sat at the counter it was not sticky, crusty, or cluttered.

Some of the best fried fish I've had, the staff was great and attentive. We had a group and everyone got their food rather quickly for a rush in lunch hour.
