I have had great caterers before, but UTO goes above and beyond to serve a 5 star meal. I worked with Lara for over a month for a meal for around 50 people. She helped me make the perfect decision. We went with the filet, chicken piccata, roasted vegetable's, garlic mashed potatoes and 3 passed appetizers of chicken and waffles, crab cakes and shrimp ceviche. The southern salad was one of the most delicious salads I ever had. The shrimp ceviche was my fav thing of all. But every single item was perfect. I have never heard so many people say how good the food was. The servers and bartenders were great, too. I would definitely use them again! Loved it!

The team stepped right up and started working, helped solve some of the outlying issues we were having at the venue and produced a fantastic meal. Under the Oak Catering provided appetizers, dinner and bar service at my daughter's wedding. The food was delicious! All the guests are still bragging on how they enjoyed all the food. The service and staff were beyond amazing. The bartenders were great and even saved the groom's favorite drink to make sure he was taken care of.We would highly recommend Under the Oak. The coordinator was so responsive and patient with our questions regarding our menu options versus price points, with substitutions. Scheduling a tasting afterwards was no problem, getting us in within a week. The food was delicious, and our waiter was professional so we knew to move ahead with hiring them. This, thankfully, carried through the whole night of our wedding. Our guests enjoyed their food, as there were no leftovers! We also hired their bartending service, which we also heard great things about. We were also given the option of providing our own alcohol, which we did.However, there were a few little things that missed the mark. Requests agreed upon in emails were not followed through, such as having labels of food on the display boards. As guests were asking me what flavors were which, I had to ask the servers to stand out there instead of me. The bartenders also missed having a beverage available that was on my printed out menu. A guest had asked for it, which triggered the team to realize it was never put out. Even though there were little things missed such as those mentioned above, I would hire them again. Nothing major went wrong or was disappointing, and I expected small things to happen throughout the night.
Under the Oak provided amazing food and great service for our wedding in December! We are very glad we chose to work with them. Daniel was in charge of running everything for our wedding and I can not say enough how amazing he was. He and his team were so professional. Daniel even went the extra mile to help us bustle my wedding dress when we were struggling. I am so lucky and thankful that he was in charge that day. The food was also delicious! To summarize my review for those too lazy to read the whole thing, the food was very average at best and the management and owners were very rude to my wife and I.My wife and I booked Under the Oak Catering for a wedding that we had this year basically a year and a half in advance. We booked them to provide food, (pasta, appetizers, and a burger bar) silverware/plates, and the owner's wife was supposed to be making our wedding cake as well.About six months after we booked them, my wife saw on Facebook from another bride in a Facebook group that the owner's wife had stopped doing cakes so we called and asked if this was true and they said yes they do not serve cakes anymore. They did not give us any warnings or reach out to tell us that she had quit making cakes, we just totally lucked out because my wife had seen the Facebook post as we came very close to not having a cake.Fast forward to one month before our wedding. A manager from Under the Oak meets with my wife and I via a phone call for our one month check in. He informs us that his contract ran out with the silverware company and they will not be providing silverware or plates anymore. We told him that he was breaching his contract and he said "I have no way to get you plates and silverware so I do not know what you want me to do." Under the Oak did eventually end up providing plates and silverware but they left me and my wife panicking for over a week about whether or not we would have plates or not.In addition to this silverware issue, we were told that cake plates were part of the package by the employee who booked us. Our contract says that all plates and silverware would be provided but it did not specify cake plates so the owner has claimed that not bringing cake plates did not technically breach our contract but Under the Oak is, at best, very shady in how they word their contracts.The staff at the wedding was pretty good. The pasta we had was good but the burgers were terrible. Several guests even told us that they were "the worst burgers they had ever had."After the wedding, I was informed that our cake got thrown away by under the oak. I emailed Blake, the owner, and he told me he would refund me 25% of my cake price since 25% of the cake got thrown away. This was on a Monday. On Tuesday, Blake called me and said "We are not responsible and I only offered you a refund because it was my day off and I did not want you to keep bothering me, but I am not refunding you anything." Truthfully, I am not 100% sure who threw my cake away, but it is not a good business practice to offer a refund and then take it back.

The amount of compliments we have received over how delicious our wedding food was is insane! Our guests are still raving about it! Everything was so well done and delicious, I have never had wedding food that has stuck with me when the wedding ends, but with Under the Oak it has. The tomato tart is all people are talking about haha. I loved this company, very easy to work with and so helpful in the planning process, I will forever recommend them!
