Good food. Reasonable prices. The 2 reasons my family eats here from time to time.
However, every time we go, the staff are very unfriendly. They never smile or greet us. Have attitudes and mad looks on their faces. They just seem like they hate their job. Maybe it's just when we go but it's every time. It never fails. I'm strongly considering never even going back and just paying a little more at Smithfield's chicken and bbq. At least they are more friendly and professional. Good customer service goes a long way.

Stopped here passing through on a road trip. The fried chicken, ribs, pulled pork and cole slaw were all delicious. A basket of hush puppies was placed on the table when we sat down. They were out of this world. Don’t judge a book by its cover. It’s not the most attractive place when you pull up. But sometimes those are the gems and this one sure is! They even offered us some tea for the road. I hope we can eat here on our return trip!

The original white Swan barbecue – they’ve been in business for over 50+ years.
This used to be hands down one of the best BBQ places in NC. Now it is inconsistent and at times some of the worst BBQ you can fin almost anywhere. Food can be twice fried warmed over, frozen that has been rewarmed. It's something to eat that's all you can say. But if you want a typical Eastern NC BBQ experience. Keep on trucking.
