Stopped here passing through on a road trip. The fried chicken, ribs, pulled pork and cole slaw were all delicious. A basket of hush puppies was placed on the table when we sat down. They were out of this world. Don’t judge a book by its cover. It’s not the most attractive place when you pull up. But sometimes those are the gems and this one sure is! They even offered us some tea for the road. I hope we can eat here on our return trip!
This place is a historic little diner on the top of the hill of hwy 301 in Smithfield. White swan BBQ has been in business for as long as I can remember. I enjoy their BBQ sandwich combos, or chicken, and seafood. This place has a nostalgic feel to it. I enjoy eating here... Mr. Parker has a great business with a great crew that keeps this place hopping. All their food is delicious and fresh. Swing by and grab a bite if you can you have no clue what you are missing.

However, every time we go, the staff are very unfriendly. They never smile or greet us. Have attitudes and mad looks on their faces. They just seem like they hate their job. Maybe it's just when we go but it's every time. It never fails. I'm strongly considering never even going back and just paying a little more at Smithfield's chicken and bbq. At least they...
