Food & service was excellent. Sarah the server was very helpful with helping me with ordering being that I was new to this origin of food. She even adjusted the thermostat for me, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s looking for authentic Indian food.

Our waitress was very sweet and was happy to explain the different hot levels. We ordered the chicken curry and a side of garlic naan and it was soooo good! The flavors were fantastic and everything was freshly made. I can't believe we have such good Indian food in Moore County. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Food - awesome… my issue is the location, last couple of visits we planned to dine in, but the heating appeared to be out and despite the outside temp being cold the fans where also blowing cold air. The food itself is very good quality… but expensive.

We ordered takeout for NYE. The vindaloo was good, onion kulcha was dry and garlic naan was unremarkable. Unfortunately, my chicken tikka masala was inedible - there was 1/2 an inch of cooking oil covering the entire dish. I don't know how anyone could package this up and think it would be edible? Inside the restaurant were 2 couples dining but there was no music and the atmosphere was nonexistent. Without a lunch menu or any other differentiators from Hennings, I don't think I will be back.

The best Indian food in Southern Pines! We love Royal Taj. We always order take out but they do have a great space for dine in. It is inside the Days Inn and the location is easy to find. The food is always fresh and the service is always great. I highly suggest you try them out. One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve had. I travel a lot and will say that it’s authentic Indian cuisine.
Royal Taj Authentic Indian Cuisine is hands down the best Indian food in Southern Pines. It is a little strange it is located inside of a Days Inn hotel but do not let this deter you. Every meal I have eaten at this restaurant has been great. Their Chicken Biryani is the best I've ever had.

Hands down the best Indian food I've ever had, and service will have me coming back again. The naan is fantastic and every dish I try is better than the last. Highly recommend the carrot halwa for desert and the bullet naan as a side for your meal.
