I've worked in the area for almost 2 years, and today was the first time that we went to The Sly Fox. We had a reservation, and we're promptly seated. I listen to and support all things Iron Maiden, so when I found out they have Trooper beer, I had to get it. Just that alone is worth a 5 star review for me. We started with the charcuterie board and quickly devoured it. All of it. The bread was slightly salted and crispy, and the cheese and meat were great compliments....
Great selection of beers we shared a Cobb salad which is perfectly prepared. My shepherd’s pie is one of the best I’ve tasted. The shrimp and grits however were so salty we had to send it back. Second one was less so but still quite salty. The shrimp and mushrooms were however perfectly cooked and the sauce very flavorful. We just don’t understand why the grits is so salty. I had the shrimp and grits. The sauce was a little overwhelming, but the shrimp were cooked perfectly! My boyfriend got the Burger and he said it was "plenty decent". Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The restaurant had a warm and inviting vibe that we found very refreshing. It's definitely worth the drive from Fayetteville.
