“I’ve got to give a shoutout to Brad Halling American Whiskey Ko (BHAWK) in Southern Pines. This place really has it all. Inside it’s got that modern whiskey-bar vibe—warm wood, barrels, and cozy lighting that makes you want to hang out for a while. Outside is just as good with fresh air and comfortable seating, perfect when the weather’s nice. The food always hits the spot. The BLT, chicken sandwich, and burger are all winners, and the fries… seriously, some of the best I’ve had. Drinks are just as solid—great beer selection and cocktails that you can tell are made with care and good ingredients. But honestly, what makes it special are the people. Brad and Jessica both served in special ops, and you can feel that same dedication and passion in what they’ve built here. They and their staff are welcoming, friendly, and make you feel right at home. Their love for whiskey shows in every pour. It’s family-friendly too, with a kids’ play area and even a little shop next door for merch. Whether I’m there with friends, bringing the family, or just stopping in for a drink, I always leave impressed and already looking forward to the next time. Southern Pines is lucky to have this place.“

“Very nice small hotel. Convenient to town and excellent friendly staff. Our package included golf/breakfast. Played resort courses 4 and 8 and both were fun courses and challenging without over the top difficulty. Would recommend breakfast buffet at the Carolina hotel.“
