As a non-local transient ICW boater this place is a gem. Open early for breakfast, good home cooking served fast and hot, generous portions and inexpensive! For some, it maybe a little bit of a hike from the Southport marinas, but we boaters need the walk!

Wasn't bad after all send and done, but when you order a breakfast sandwich better read all the fine print. Sandwich didnt come with egg. She said, honey you didnt ask for egg. But want is a breakfast sandwich then???

I don’t mind waiting but we as a smaller party should not have to wait for a large party table to come open to be seated. Most restaurants seat a party in order but as tables come open to fit the party. The hostess is always hateful every time we go and is difficult to talk to without getting defensive. The hostel is fine with the people she knows. It’s like this every time we come here. Two hours just to eat breakfast at 9:00 in the morning. It was already lunch time waiting 40 min for our food.

Have been eating here many years. Portion size for seafood is getting a little small. Owner says he's trying to not raise prices, which is understandable given average age and appetite of customer. However, small and large could have more of a variance in portion or add an extra large option, etc. You used to get a heap of shrimp with the large, now it just lays flat on the plate. For the price it's still a good value and the other options haven't gotten as small. Just ate there this week and had to eat again later... With the drive and the wait (depending on time of dinner), just not as good as it once was. Id gladly pay a little more for a bigger portion.

Ok we had a party of a whole lot. ?? We were taken care of by 1 just 1 amazing waitress. I can only speak for myself when I say my whole fried flounder was simply delicious. Live this spot. ?
