“It is clean, decorated with a lot of nostalgic mementos, they only take cash, prompt service, courteous counter help, good sweet tea, he cranks out a lot of burgers and dogs from that grill, and their link breakfast sausage is the best! Generous helpings, free drink refills, friendly atmosphere. It passed my wife’s scrutiny, so trust me it’s good.”

“I have been a big fan of Mo’s Pizza for years. Today I tried some other menu options and was completely blown away. The pasta and marinara are excellent. The vegetables are well prepared and fresh. They are not heavily sauced but rely on their natural flavor. The roasted potatoes were exceptional. Service was very friendly, prompt and professional. A real plus is being able to get a first rate meal without having to sit in traffic for an hour. Plenty of free parking more bonus points! Highly recommended!”

“From the time they open the door for you as you are warmly welcomed to enjoying a fabulous dessert after a wonderful meal, Mr. P's does it right. Whenever we are in Southport, this is a must stop. The food is wonderfully prepared and the menu has something for everyone. My wife and I believe this is one of the top 5 restaurants we eaten at anywhere in the country. The seafood is always fresh and cooked perfectly and all the servers we have had in the numerous times we have visited have been top notch. Mr. P's is a very well run establishment, great food and great people!!!”

“I can say that this coffee shop is a must for coffee lovers! Great staff, great owners, great coffee. You feel part of the Bald Head Coffee and Tea House family when you walk in the door. The atmosphere is cozy and nice, certainly my absolute favorite go-to spot as a local (16 miles round trip daily with my Golden Retriever). My dog gets spoiled just as much as I do. A tasty pup cup with a peanut butter/oatmeal cookie that is locally made, topping it. The pup cookies are sold there as well as many wonderful bakery items and sandwiches, locally made sourdough bread, teas and coffees and much more… I enjoy the outdoor patio which is perfect when the weather’s nice and dogs are welcome. Hands down, my favorite!”

“We stopped by on our way to Fort Caswell for coffees and muffins and we were so impressed with the friendliness and service that we stopped again several days later on our way home for lunch. The wraps were delicious, the pretzel was amazing, the tea and coffee made to perfection, even the cookies were heavenly. We will definitely stop again on our next trip.”

“Have been going to the Bolivia location the last 2 days since their opening (my kids LOVE the frozen hot chocolate before school)- the staff is SO exceptional and nice. This morning I was in a hurry and didn’t realize that I didn’t get the second muffin I ordered, I didn’t worry to call and let them know but within 10 minutes I had a notification that they had refunded me the blueberry muffin I didn’t receive. Most places would not have bothered. Because of this they will continue to have my business! ❤️”

“This is the local spot go to - much of the area around this seafood hang was depicted in movies like Safe Haven. I did dinner at the bar. Locals are very personable. It was uncomfortably packed- but it was the height of the summer season. If you have been on the beach all day do not sit at the outside bar - too humid / clammy. Enjoy the Cajun fish bites. And try to park AWAY from the bldg… low tide and the water comes up to the restaurant entrance - it’s a thing - they have a walk bridge so you don’t ruin your shoes. I would go again.”

“Have lived down here for 5 years. This is the first time we came to Oliver's, and we were not disappointed.! The food was amazing. The server jacqueline, really hustled and bustled with a smile on her face and very, very sweet! My husband is a diabetic and also on dialysis, and has to watch his intake on certain things. And they did his French fries without salt, like we asked, and instead of frying the catfish, he baked it . If I could give jacqueline, a higher than 5 stars. I would .”

“This is my absolute favorite place to eat in Southport! I wish I lived closer. Thee Special is my go to order but I always substitute cucumber and tomato salad for the corn. The food is always hot and delicious. And the staff is super friendly. Plus nothing beats open air dining on the water.”

“We have vacationed at Oak Island for many years - and Streat Side is the only place we visit multiple times during our stay. The food is so fresh, perfectly prepared and seasoned, and the service is even better. The blackened mahi is the best you will ever have. Rhonda is an incredible chef. “It's been a rough few weeks for small business owners in Southport since the storm and local road issues haven't helped. The other day instead of waiting in traffic I stopped in to check on a friend & fellow restaurant owner at Southport Gourmet and Sushi Bar. Like me at The Saucy Southerner their daily business has been greatly affected and I had an idea I offered the owners. I decided to put together a night with friends and let the restaurant show off a little! Let me tell you!! They showed off big time and made us the most amazing meal!! Our group ate until we couldn't eat any more, and then we ate more!! Everything was fresh, great service and the food was delicious!!! From the sensational appetizers to kick things off, to the second course of some delightful fresh sushi boats and then finished it off with some of their favorite items!! All around we all had a wonderful time and we're grateful to be able to support a local small business during these challenging times. The best part was we beat all the traffic issues, had quality time with friends and made the night a little better for everyone involved! Get out there and support local small businesses and slow down a little. Live life and have fun!!”

Liam, our server, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu—truly top-notch service. We started with the artichoke hearts appetizer, which was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. For our mains, we enjoyed the seafood pot pie and the steak and mushroom pasta. Both dishes were phenomenal—the seafood pot pie was rich, comforting, and brimming with fresh seafood, while the steak and mushroom pasta was hearty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. A special touch was when the executive chef personally came to our table to check on our experience and chat with us. That level of care made the evening feel even more special. Between the inviting atmosphere, the exceptional service, and the outstanding food, Ports of Call Bistro has quickly become one of our favorite spots in Southport. Highly recommend!”

“First time here. I had a take out, and I ordered the spaghetti. Its very basic, and the sauce tasted like it came out of a bottle, no favor, and the noobles needed salt. I only eat what I could, and threw out the rest in the garbage. As for the restaurant itself, it needs be renovated. Looks like an old pizza hut from the 80's.”
