“Interesting little place. Because they don't serve food it's a "private" club. But, for the amazing deal of $1.00 you can become a member and enjoy a beverage or two and a great view. Located between Fishy Fishy and Edgewater, it offers a few tables and a view! Great place to stop by and just take a few minutes and enjoy the scenery“
“This was such a fun spot to visit when I was out on the east coast to see my friend this summer. I am a big Nicholas Sparks junkie and the town of Southport is where many of his movies were filmed, or maybe specifically just Safe Haven. Either way, lots to see and so many fun picture moments. On this trip, I had my infant daughter with me and assumed that I wouldn't be allowed in with her as it's a bar. On the last night, we were picking up some seafood takeout for dinner at home and I thought I would at least ask what the protocol is. The guy at the front was so kind. He charged us the usual members fee of $1 to get in which is hysterical. And he said we could totally bring the baby. It's less of a bar and more of a place to grab a drink and sit out watching the water. The view is phenomenal. I ordered a well drink and it was tasty. The other drinks looked really sweet. But the beers and wines seemed decent. This place is a great stop for any Nick Sparks fan and they can serve you a decent drink with a stunning view of the water. Just go once - you will not regret it!“
“Wonderful French onion soup on the menu and it was flavor dense with amazing rye sourdough croutons.. we try to try something different every time we go because everything is so wonderful .. And the service is always great. Love both Carl amd Carolina. Thanks Southern for taking such good care of us.“
“Worth your time to visit this local spot. The people are great, the bartenders are great, and the atmosphere is very personable. They don't serve food so I can't comment on that, but the drink prices are great! I love this little place!“
“An excellent restaurant and staff. Jess, one of the managers is absolutely top notch. She takes note of the small details and it makes a big impact. Carol, our waitress was excellent and the food was delicious. Most importantly, you instantly feel like you’re amongst friends with this group of folks. Highly recommend Salt64.Kid-friendliness: There’s a kid menu not posted, which has the staples. The staff is also very accommodating with adjustments to the regular menu items for kiddos“
“My favorite coffee shop in Carolina Beach has always served beer and wine but now it’s expanded its upstairs into a craft-cocktail lounge called “Shag Bar” with a cool speakeasy vibe. Nicole, former owner and lead bartender at Shagri La, has done an incredible job creating an upscale experience right on the Carolina Beach boardwalk. Tastiest cocktails in CB!“
“Everything just fits here.Cozy ambience, great atmosphere and great atmosphere as well as conversations. All together with interesting people, wine and beer. This would be my living room if I lived here.Thank you for the experience and the hospitality.“
“I originally only wanted to stop in bc I knew The Summer I Turned Pretty used this bar for a filming location so I drug my husband in lol BUT we both loved it!! It's definitely a stop we'd make again! It's a super cool dive bar!! You walk in, either order from the bar or go into the walk in cooler and pick any drink! There are tons of options! Once you have your drink, you're set to either sit inside or you can go out back and enjoy your drinks in the super eclectic and ultra cool outside space. They have tons of outdoor seating areas set up and so many neat things to look at. We highly recommend it!! Definitely worth the stop!!!“
“My husband and Iwere in town for the weekend and was looking for something good to eat. We read the reviews and decided to give Soul Flavor a try. I'm glad we did. The food was excellent. I got the turkey and black bean chili and the Royale burger. My husband got the jambalaya . Everything was excellent, including the steak fries. We enjoyed the ambience of the bar in the back. I loved the paintings and the fact that the TV station was on Bob Ross. Everyone was friendly, especially the bartender who was kind enough to take our picture. We will definitely come back the next time we are in town!“
“We came in today 4-8-24, everyone was so nice, sat at the tiki bar had the cape fear pain killer, so good, then order food for take out! So good, enjoyed everything! Hot dogs are awesome, pulled pork sandwiches, and cheese quesadilla. The best! Thank you, girls front Pennsylvanian!!!“
“Wonderful service by all the staff, especially our server, Angela. The atmosphere invites you to stay and enjoy, like an old friend. We loved our first experience at Jailhouse Provisions and encourage all to come and check out their food and entertainment.“
“Solid 4 out of 5 stars. We enjoyed the lobster roll which was $20.99 and it was worth the money. Friendly staff, and definitely a locals place for sure. Had to pay for parking but overall quite happy with my decision to eat here.On a funny note, there is a sign that says “friends don’t let friends eat imported seafood” and on the chalkboard it said the crab was from Canada. (See pics) haha!Would return“
“Went in during the day on a Friday with a friend and was greeted by awesome servers!! We had the margarita and shark attack cocktails with some house chips and beer cheese w/a side of fries. Everything was wonderful! We were very pleased!! Inside was super nice, clean, and comfy! Can't wait to go back for a full-on meal!“
“We stopped here on a whim and couldn't have been happier. My husband and I both got the grilled catfish sandwich and it was phenomenal! We could have each eaten a second one. The fries were awesome too! Our son got the blackened shrimp and loved it as well. Our waitress was attentive and so personable. Highly recommend this little gem.“
“To start off, there was no wait (yippie) we got seated right away, we got asked what we wanted to drank after like 6 mins, I got sweet tea which was surprisingly tasty. For appetizers the table got bruschetta stuff idk lol, it was rlly good. For like the main course I got Bangkok tuna (idk what it’s called whoops) and omg it was yummy. Overall 10/10“
“This is the place at Kure Beach where "everybody knows your name" and the friendships are strong. The reason for my most recent was the Retirement Party for a local guy: one of the Awesome bartenders contacted some of the regulars and we put on a great celebration! Our other Rock Star Bartender was serving Cold beer, there was music on the jukebox, shooting pool - sounds like a typical bar?. Nah- it's better- it's Bud&Joe's!“
“What a wonderful atmosphere. Excellent Staff! Jenn and Kasey are great bartenders .. both are super friendly!! ... The Beers are cold ,and the food is delicious.. If you enjoy day drinking , and want a personal spot .. this is the place ..Thanks “
“Bartenders are amazing and I can’t even begin to tell you the things this place does for our community! Some of the best people come here and work here. drinks are affordable and that is a big deal lately. Love Stephanie and Jamie 2 of the best bartenders around.“
“I’ve been coming here RELIGIOUSLY since we moved here. I just have to say that Erin Bell’s Monday trivia night is the best in town. Not only are her questions pop culture but she can introduce you to some killer pop culture. Bartenders are amazing and the food is great and price wise can’t be beat. The trivia can’t be beat on the island or even In Wilmington as a whole. Love y’all!Vegetarian options: I myself am a vegetarian and find the menu great for meat eaters and non meat eaters alike.Dietary restrictions: They always accommodateParking: Not ever hard to find a spot.“
“No food available here, but you can bring in take out! Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere. Pool tables available. Lots of great live music, including open mic on Wednesdays- but Monday karaoke nights are my favorite! Local-centric but visitors are welcome here!Wheelchair accessibility: High tables, but folding tables and chairs are available. One of our regular Monday night karaoke group uses a wheelchair.“
“Go for the drinks and stay for the food! The cocktails were spot on and the food was fantastic. The service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere was great. They really did a nice job with the restoration of the building and if you look around you’ll notice they reused/repurposed a lot of original details from the building’s previous life.Vegetarian options: Great salad/bowl options“
