Because the owner of The Barge CB advertised the parking spaces in the launch/beach access area at the end of Florida Avenue as available parking for his business, that area is now closed for all parking. That parking area was used by many paddle boarders and kayakers.
Nice. Even rocks a little when you get a wake.

Located at the Carolina Beach Yacht Club and Marina, The Barge CB is a laid-back bar floating on the beautiful intercostal waterway. Accessible by sea or by land, this spot offers the best sunset views on the island. The full bar serves liquor, beer, seltzers, wine, and champagne. Highlights include a delicious vodka lemonade and the best spicy Margarita ever, made by a hospitable bartender with Caribbean experience. No food yet, but items from the Veggie Wagon are available. The ambiance is exactly what you want from a coastal bar, with live music, a simulated shark catch photo zone, and plenty of dockage. It is super dog friendly. Boaters should note the wake from others, as The Barge rocks a bit, mainly on the upper deck. Open Friday through Sunday 12-9 until Memorial Day, then six days a week, closed Tuesdays.
