I fortunately and unfortunately frequent McDonald’s but this location by far is the worst. The store and building is new and clean but it’s the staff and food here that unusually bad. I live2 minutes from this store and it’s my last resort for food options. The food sits under the heat laps and is dried out constantly but tonight’s issue was a mobile order was wrong, I asked them to add the missing items and the gave me crap for it. And then the manager got pissy because I had to go for a third round through the drive thru because it was still wrong. Avoid this location and these “people” at this location.

This location has gotten very run down and sketchy. The workers are always hollering and yelling (not always in anger, just extremely unprofessional, loud, and annoying). When we went for what will be our last time, a homeless person had set up camp inside and was sleeping across the benches of a few different tables. It’s just not really the place you would want to take a family I guess? Very uncomfortable and weird.

When I received my order my fries were so hard and cold. They had to make me two medium fries over. Also one of the workers told me that we could not go into the play area because they were having a party for the employees and the play area and he also tried to chase my child out the door.

I had a terrible experience at the drive thru. I placed my order and the woman taking orders was making it harder than it should be by asking you to repeat the order over and over . She finally got it after I had repeated it 4 different times.When I got around to the window all she could do was talk about she needed her chapstick and she had left it in her car.When I got home my order was incorrect . I had ask for no onions 4 different times and she still didn't get it right. I tried to call back up to McDonalds to speak to manager and after 30 minutes of trying I gave up.This is the absolute worst McDonalds I have ever been to . When you go into the drive thru ,save time and just tell them to throw what they want you to have in a bag cause they can NOT get an order right!

The British lady makes my nuggies and fries sound so fancy. McDonald's has stepped their hospitality game back up. All drive tru workers have been nice. There is a real difference going on in Southport. Good job y'all.

I was reading the other reviews and am surprised — we routinely order breakfast sandwiches and hot coffees with never an issue.
We always use the app which makes the summer traffic lines go quickly and payment is done quickly and securely.
No, not an ad for the McDonalds app, but if you want a fast moving line or ensure you’re paying a discounted amount from the rewards, it makes it easy to do.
If youve ever worked in restaurants: their drink fountain is 98% of the time properly calibrated and syrup levels are spot on.

Coming back from the beach at 2 am probably anything would taste good. But the light was not on at the drive thru. It was 24 hours. I got a 6 piece kids meal with chicken nuggets, fries and a medium sprite. Because I knew that meal. I asked for ketchup twice. Got zero. Asked for two sweet and sour’s for nuggets. Got none. But I noticed this and asked again and got one. Asked for extra napkins. Got one. Eating in the car with the dogs I knew was going to be a challenge.
All of a sudden my hand felt sticky and wet. The sweet and sour’s was not open. But under the lid it was coated with sauce. Nasty! There went my one napkin.
The food was medium warm. I had to wait for it also. The fries weren’t cooked all the way. I got the toy though. The sprite was pretty good. It really hit the spot. No grass here at all to take your dog to the bathroom. But the hotel behind it has a great place around back. I have actually used this a few times now. Sometimes I stop at this intersection for gas.
I had to wait for the drink and the person was looking at me like lady go. And I said I don’t have my drink yet. This seemed to make her mad and she grabbed it from behind her. Someone else had made it. What was her problem? I didn’t notice any food issues until I got to the hotel parking lot. Or sauce problems.

I do not live local to this location however i stop in when im passing through and have always received top notch service here. The staff in my opinion goes above by greeting you when you are near the person taking orders and even leaves behind the counter to bring to go orders and customers and coffee as well. I do not recall seeing this McDonald's dirty in the dining area or even the bathrooms. I really do believe the staff here go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and truly care. I have never seen this type of customer service at any other McDonald's location. I will continue to visit this location while passing through. A big thank you to the employees working here for your hard work and dedication. I know not all people with agree with my review but i really don't care as I ALWAYS receive excellent service.!!

My Big Mac bun was stale, the meat was dry and the person at the drive through didn't look at me while taking my money and then quickly closed the window with no comments or a thank you. However, the french fries were fresh and good. This was the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. Never again!
