The view is nice there but it is always a hassle trying to get your food and to pay. I would recommend a different system for doing that. Also, I got THEE Special which is 1/2 lb shrimp and a crab cake. I could hardly make it home I felt so sick.
I had a great Ahi tuna sandwich. I did not see gluten free bun options. If you have a serious issue with gluten I would not eat here. However the food was really good. My tuna was cooked to perfection. I sat outside on the covered porch and enjoyed looking at the boats.

Delicious food and such a fun environment! You order your food before entering the seating area and then they bring it to you. The view of the ocean is very beautiful and you get to watch as boats drive by quite frequently. Its such a lovely place to get dinner with your family or friends and just talk for a while.
Parking: Huge parking lot out front as well as street parking nearby.
Provisions is always a special treat. Great atmosphere down on theI waterfront of the ICW and Cape Fear river. Food absolutey never disappoints! Fresh seafood and cold drinks with yummy sides. The staff are friendly and helpful and the delicious food comes out very quick but prepared well. Provision Company never disappoints!!

It seems that this is the most popular place in Southport. It is good, but the food to me was a little on the bland side. The shrimp were peel and eat, but they were just, alright. Not bad at all, but just, all right. The crab cakes were just bland.

If you haven’t been, you must go! The best part about this place is the simplicity of it! You walk in to a cute wood “shack” get greeted by a bunch of hardworking, smiling, happy facea, while you scan the blackboards for your meal choice. You order at the counter, grab a drink from the cooler (or bar) and final a seat. When your food is ready the servers call your name and bring it to you while you enjoy the beautiful view and atmosphere of sitting over the water. At the end of your meal you go back to the register to pay and of course tip! What a great place! ? And Chef Kim is a gem! ?? We are now weekly regulars! ?

Food is decent & served quickly, and not too overpriced for what it is. The people & atmosphere are what you really go for, though. Staff is friendly & attentive, and you simply can't beat sitting right by the water on the yacht basin! They could make their food prices a lot higher based on their location. Kudos to them from not taking advantage of their customers in that way.
Vegetarian options: Only side dishes are veggie.
Parking: The parking is across the street in lots. 1st come, 1st served. So you may have to park a little ways away & walk. Not as easy in wet weather, as the lots & roads get large puddles.
