I went mid-afternoon and I had no wait at all. I ordered the crab cake dinner and it was delicious. I sat at the bar which still had a beautiful view. Cocktails were yummy.

As a lifelong fan of Calabash style seafood (with deviled crab as my favorite) I tried the crab cake sandwich and potato salad. Fabulous! You're going to wait, but it's worth it. And this is waterfront, so enjoy the scenery while you wait for a table. With the alcohol, not as kid-friendly as it could be, but not terrible either. Would be great if they could figure out a takeout process. Friendly fast service. Delicious food. Beautiful setting. Will be back!

I wanted to love this place so badly, hearing so much about it all these years. Great setting but the food was such a disappointment and very overrated, in my opinion. Way too much filler in the crab cakes, and why are they breaded? Mine were overcooked, as well. Conch fritters had a 95-5 filler/breading to conch meat ratio. Grouper salad was decent, but lacked flavor.

The view is nice there but it is always a hassle trying to get your food and to pay. I would recommend a different system for doing that. Also, I got THEE Special which is 1/2 lb shrimp and a crab cake. I could hardly make it home I felt so sick.
I had a great Ahi tuna sandwich. I did not see gluten free bun options. If you have a serious issue with gluten I would not eat here. However the food was really good. My tuna was cooked to perfection. I sat outside on the covered porch and enjoyed looking at the boats.
Delicious food and such a fun environment! You order your food before entering the seating area and then they bring it to you. The view of the ocean is very beautiful and you get to watch as boats drive by quite frequently. Its such a lovely place to get dinner with your family or friends and just talk for a while.
Parking: Huge parking lot out front as well as street parking nearby.
Provisions is always a special treat. Great atmosphere down on theI waterfront of the ICW and Cape Fear river. Food absolutey never disappoints! Fresh seafood and cold drinks with yummy sides. It seems that this is the most popular place in Southport. It is good, but the food to me was a little on the bland side. The shrimp were peel and eat, but they were just, alright. Not bad at all, but just, all right. The crab cakes were just bland.
