Pinocchio's Italian Restaurant.

It has been almost 20 years since I have been here. I used to come here as a foreign student in Catawba for great Italian food. Back then I remember the chef might have even mentioned a kitchen herb garden for fresh ingredients. I remember their Calzones and their amazing Pesto sauce. I will fly in from Houston just for that again! A good Italian Restaurant is always small menu, simple but high quality ingredients starting with the sauces. The chef is an artist. I hope it is still the same!! Although I dont see Calzone on the menu 🥹

Pleasant and informative staff. Food was good and fresh. Staff seemed to genuinely care about my dish preferences down to its presentation once plated.

Me and my wife both live very busy lives with work, we have very few nights to get out and when we do it is last minute. We have attempted to get a table in this restaurant 6 times now over the past 2 years and can never get in. Not friendly if you have sporadic breaks to get out so be warned

Beautiful place with a kind staff and delicious food.

We went there for the first time on Saturday night and it was SO good. We started off with their appetizer special which was a ravioli, but in a puff pastry, with the most delicious handmade marinara. My partner had the sausage with peppers and gnocchi and I had the carbonara. Both were exceptional. We finished with their cantaloupe and basil gelato. Everything was SO good and the service was impeccable. We will definitely be back!

The service, atmosphere, and food were just perfection. I could not recommend this place more. I would recommend the gnocchi because it was the best that I’ve ever had! The seating is limited so please make a reservation to ensure you have a table. It looked a little empty in the photo because it was near closing.

My grandmother was full blooded Italian, so I was raised on very good authentic Italian food. I am from up North, and there are a lot of mom and pop restaurants that are phenomenal. My point being, I have lived in NC for upwards of 10 years and this is the best little Italian restaurant that reminds me of home. Everything was homemade and authentic. From the bread and oil, the lasagna, the cannoli, everything, home made and phenomenal. I am so glad we found this little gem! Definitely will go again and again, make sure to make reservations, very small location, but that makes it that more special.

Staying at the lake, I searched for a nice place to eat, and found this one. It was excellent with the husband serving and the wife cooking. And the atmosphere cozy and warm.
