Best value anywhere. The staff and owners do a fantastic job in keeping prices great and at the same time serving up massive and tasty burgers. If you’re in rutherfordton you can’t go wrong at shake shop. Great staff!

Went here with my wife and kids to get lunch for a nearby trail hike.To be completely honest, the fries were unsalted and weirdly tasted like a plastic inner tube??? the milkshake was watery, and the chicken strips were decent. Overall I’ve had better food at cookout. That’s depressing to say.Not the best prices for the quality either. Really wish they would step their game up.

My husband and I ordered dinner from here. He got the hamburger steak with salad and I got the popcorn shrimp with salad. His steak was as thin as paper and I’ve tasted better store bought shrimp. This was rubbery with no flavor and the actual shrimps no bigger than my thumbnail! The salads consisted of nothing but lettuce and tomato! Also, we were either overcharged or the prices online do not match what we were charged. I attempted to reach out to the restaurant and was told someone would be contacting me back, but that was over a week ago. Will not be recommending or returning!

Quintessential diner, and food is awesome. For breakfast, they really understand hash browns (great flavor, cooked right) and pancakes have a great texture and flavor. For lunch, burgers are delicious. People are friendly. And, you cannot beat the price! Just had two full breakfasts with coffees for $14.

I ordered a 6 oz hamburger steak plate with a baked pot & slaw, I didn't think about a picture at the time, I was really hungry, but the only thing that was good was the pot. The hamburger was dry & bland & so was the slaw. And it cost me almost $13.00. I'm sorry but it wasn't worth it, & it actually literally made me sick during the night. I know it had to be what it was because that was the ONLY thing I had eaten that day since I had been very busy earlier cleaning and hadn't ate from anywhere else or hadn't eaten anything else at all that day. Except a pack of peanut butter crackers, which I eat all the time & I've never got sick before. It was NOT a good experience all the way around!!! VERY disappointing!!!
