Stopped in here, after eating at the cafe, and shopping the general store, back in July 2024. What a cute little ice cream shop, in an even cuter tiny village, Little Switzerland! I tried the PB&J ice cream, bc I was really curious how it would taste, and it was actually pretty good! The shop itself was decorated tastefully and you knew you were there for one reason, dessert. The young lady behind the counter was nice. On another note, my heart goes out to this community and the surrounding mountains of NC. As a native North Carolinian, my family and I have visited several areas of the mountain region, in our beautiful state, and our stay in Little Switzerland/Spruce Pine was a favorite. I hope y'all recover soon from Helene's destruction. ???

Truffles are on the pricier side ($4/each) but they are big so one is enough for one person. They are tasty but could be less sweet IMO. Cute place, nice staff.

This shop serves a limited number of flavors of Artesana ice cream. The Mint Chocolate Chip was excellent, made without the usual green dye. The shop also sells other high end items and food. Worth the effort to find this small outpost.

I'm watching my sugar intake so ordered a kids sized sherbet but was told only kids could have that size.
I had 3 varieties of fudge. They were all great, cute place and the service was fine. Wasn't bad, just didn't have much

Stopped here when on a drive of the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Place was very busy. Tried a number of menu items. All were good. Reuben sandwich was excellent! Keep in mind their hours are limited serving lunch only. They close for the season in November until Spring. General store is next to cafe offering cheese, beer & wine soft drinks., snacks and souvenirs.

Quiche was delicious! Hubby enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich too. Very quaint, picturesque, friendly staffed place. Wait was short.
Well, that's not true that it's ALL I can say. From my Trip Advisor research, this was a planned stop for me and my husband on the way to Sugar Mountain for a few days of traveling up the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain and fall leaf peeking...and YES, it was THE leaf peak week there, just last week! Place was so packed, that we got our lunch to go. It was ready very quickly, the staff is very friendly and on-the-ball. I had a fabulous fire roasted veggie sandwich on their house made foccacia bread that was to die for! My husband had what he described as one of the best Reuben sandwiches he has ever eaten. The corned beef was so lean and tender that it almost melted in your mouth. Oh, and don't miss the potato salad as a side. My, oh my. Days later, we are still talking about how yummy it was. It's only a short trip away from home, so we will definitely be back, and back, and back.....lol. If I could, I'd give them 10 stars!!!

The ice cream was yummy but the shop had some pricey items in it. A nalgene bottle with a logo on it was $36.00.

I ordered the pimento cheese panini and it was so yummy!! The potato salad was great too! My friend love the quiche and my other friend got a kids meal. Great food great atmosphere!! The scenery getting there is unbelievable!!
The signage in Little Switzerland is atrocius...also, if you plan to visit in early Sept.....DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.... almost everything is closed by 4pm(3 pm in some cases)....and don't bother asking for help.. locals seem oblivious to the revenue generated by tourists...and had one of them berate my wife for asking directions(after blowing her horn in disgust cause we were pulled off road to check a map...wife got out to asked directions and got an earful)...The staff at the Swiss shop were great...but...it will be a LONG TIME(IF EVER) before we return...
