Walked into Chester’s Chicken, nobody at the counter. I say “hello” like a normal human being—this girl stomps out the back like I ruined her nap and dared her to smile. Huffing, puffing, and mumbling like I asked her to fry the chicken with her bare hands. Sis, if customer service drains your soul that bad, maybe fast food ain’t your calling. You ain’t gotta love the job—but you ain’t gotta act like you hate me for walking in, either. I came for chicken, not attitude in a hairnet.

This is a takeout fried chicken place in a truck stop. If you go with appropriate expectations given that description you won’t be disappointed, and you might be surprised.
They have a few $5 meal deals that are pretty tasty. I’ve tried the fried chicken livers or gizzards. Both yummy if you’re down for it. Their chicken is alright. Not gonna change your life. Their biscuits are glazed with some kind of honey sweetness. They are not for everyone but they’re ok. They make a lot fresh at mid day or 5. It’s hot and fresh. But that might’ve been out a while if you go at 3pm or 8pm. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
There are other fast food places that might do it better. I prefer Bojangles chicken and biscuits, for instance. But they’re serving decent food at a decent price.
I won’t drive out of my way to go here. But if I’m going past and need to eat, they’ll take care of me quickly and affordably. I’ve had worse from more expensive places many times :)

Service staff great. Sandwich was awful. Spit out the first bite and tossed the remainder in the garbage at the store. Wasted ten bucks. Never again.

My visit to Chester's was very disappointing today! I ordered the chicken bites combo with mash potatoes and biscuit, the bites were so chewy I thought I was eating jerky I did not get a biscuit or a spoon to eat my potatoes needless to say I tried to eat my potatoes with my finger I was traveling home from Tennessee today is my bday. I feel that Chester's can do better than this they were not busy!! I did call and speak to Larissa she told me to ask for her the next time I stop and she would make it right, Thanks Larissa for at least trying to make it right!!

Since they won't let you BUY a side of the hot honey sauce to put on tenders, I have no reason to come back.

Kid-friendliness: I went to get food for my kid's for dinner. The service totally sucks poor customer service. I was told they had no sandwiches and can't make them. Then I tried to get chicken bites and had none and can make more. This was a big inconvenience to me and customer service was absolutely horrible . I will not go back. The employees didn't want to make more food at 6 p.m. when it's prime hour for dinner. I asked for food to be made but was told they can't.
