“I personally wasn’t a fan of my sandwich but I know the food others ate was good and the quality of the food was spot on. I gave this a 4 even though my sandwich wasn’t good, but plenty of other sandwiches that are. I had the DSHS hoagie sub with ham. It’s basically a huge salad with ham slices on top. Very hard to eat and might as well just get a salad.”

“Ate there 2 times this week. We had not found a great Mexican restaurant in Statesville until now. This is absolutely the best I've had. Chips, salsa and bean dip are excellent. I had the best chicken enchiladas suiza and my other had a chimichanga texacano, full of steak, chicken and large shrimp. What's its short on is atmosphere, but well makes up on food and service. plus it has the largest menu I've seen in a long time.”

“Every time we go to Mi Pueblo, the staff are so friendly and courteous, going out of their way to completely satisfy you, the food is delicious and tasty always done to perfection, there’s always someone checking to see if you’re needing anything. Mr.Eric Lopez and staff are awesome, our waitress(Angelia), was always there choking if we needed extra drinks, etc. prop’s two there cooks and staff and management for a great lunch day.”

“I’m pretty sure it is under new management. Whenever I stop there for breakfast to get my liver mush, egg, cheese, slice of tomato on a bun, it is always delicious. Service is fast, everyone behind the counter is always friendly even when they are busy. On Wednesdays they offer choices of fish sandwich or fish combo plates that are reasonably priced and will satisfy your appetite. I definitely recommend if you are in the area.”

“I asked for a gallon of the tea
Well my sister drinks her teas sweet and unsweet. So I bought a gallon which I asked if possible they could do 25% sweet and 75% unsweet. She said absolutely and didn't charge me extra for it or gave me attitude for asking for something that wasn't on the app. She was awesome. She even made it so it be made right. So definitely coming back to this one.”

“A co-worker told me about this place and I am so happy he did. I was looking for some southern style food with veggies. The food was fantastic. I don't really care for turkey but I tried the turkey and dressing which was one of the specials today Thursday. The turkey was delicious and very moist. The sides were just as great. The squash was so of the best I have had and very large. Broccoli casserole was on point. I can't wait to come try all the other food. The daily specials are very well priced. Thanks for a fantastic first impression.”

“This is tucked inside Ingles Supermarket, so that is the only time I come here - when I’m shopping. No worries though, I get stellar service no matter what. Their little kiosk/booth is spotless and the workers are always polite and full of smiles. I’ve never had a bad drink here. Always made quickly and to perfection. I highly recommend stopping here for a treat while shopping.”

“Use this restaurant to cater my wedding on 5/25/24. John was super easy to plan with and he was at my rehearsal to iron out last details and gave me a sample of all the food to bring home! He even sent a decorative centerpiece to the reception with my colors! His servers were professional and organized… I worried about nothing! The food, each one better than the other… BBQ, cheer wine sauce, coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni salad and cherry cheese cobbler… not to mention sweet tea, lemonade and water! Fabulous job, beginning to end. I recommend this place to everyone and will be dining here in the near future! I cannot thank you enough!”

“I got a last minute invitation to a small house gathering, asked what I can bring and my host suggested a dish or dessert. I opted for the latter given time constraints, which led me to search out a bakery. Lo and behold, the first resulted in Karen’s Cakes & Cafe Pharr. I perused the site late Friday night (9/1), impressed by what I had seen of the photos, which was an obvious display of someone with great cake design talents. I couldn’t believe my luck at this being the first result and exhaustion led me to retire for the night.I awakened Saturday (9/2) morning and resumed my task by reading the reviews which ultimately led to a phone call. It was not a regular business day, but as luck would have it, I got to speaking with Karen herself; the first call was an inquiry to find out about placing orders. Karen informed me of what I can order and the call ended thereafter. I gave it some thought and called back a second time; this time placing my order for cinnamon rolls, which Karen stated, “everyone loves”.The time arrived for pickup and I got the opportunity to be warmly greeted by Karen, her husband Mike, and my order??. I absolutely loved our exchange of conversation. To my surprise, Karen had included a couple of treats; a slice of her iced blueberry lemon cake, a slice of red velvet cheesecake AND extras that were totally unexpected and only found out when we got home. Thank you!! Thank you!!At this point, I couldn’t wait to get home and when I did, my daughter, who had accompanied me on the trip, opened up the containers with the cake slices and we dug right into our treats and let me tell you, they were mouth watering and deliciously flavorful AND we didn’t stop there; we knew we had to sample the cinnamon rolls and Karen, you weren’t kidding about those rolls. They were absolutely and delightfully soft with just the right amount of sweet. It was not long before we decided that this is where I would be ordering my birthday cake. I am now torn between the iced blueberry lemon and the coconut cream cake!! Though I think my daughter has already decided on the iced blueberry lemon.Overall, the reviews are exactly what I experienced; a delightful business owner who had charm and appeal, whose smile was infectiously warm and inviting, who knows her products, swears by her customers’ satisfaction, and guarantees that you would love it AND love it we did!! These appear to be the characteristics that continue to make Karen’s Cake & Cafe Pharr a successful business for over 30 years.Thank you Karen for the last minute accommodation given such short notice. It was a pleasure meeting you and getting the opportunity to experience your expertise!! See you in October!!”

And the food is Ammmazzzing! Best lasagna I have ever had & I order everywhere I go!! Portions are huge, home made bread which melts in your mouth- fresh salads with real veggies & great prices!! One of my most fav Italian restaurants!
