“This place still has its local charm, which is incredibly rare these days. I came in for lunch, had the chopped BBQ plate, and I gotta say it was amazing. Great flavor on the meat, as well as bother the Sweet & Smokey and Vinegar based sauces. Even their coleslaw and hush puppies were great.I had mentioned to the waitress that this was my first time visiting, and she was kind enough to give me a sample of their Banana Pudding, which deserves its own review as well! It was a perfect lunch! 100% on my list of places to come back to.“

“This was my first time trying this place and it did NOT disappoint! We ordered the cheese bread, pepperoni Stromboli, and the M&M dessert pie. We started with the cheese bread and it was incredible! Super cheesy and perfectly seasoned! The pepperoni Stromboli was 100% the star of the show! It was huge (worth the price) and it was FILLED with tons of cheese and pepperoni! We tried it with their house made ranch and they get bonus points for having great ranch ? the Stromboli was amazing, the slight spiciness of the pepperoni and the cheesiness was a perfect balance. And finally we finished off with the M&M pie, it was good! It was a chocolate chip dessert pizza with M&Ms baked into it! It came with an extra cup of icing for anyone with an extra sweet tooth! Overall this place, the people, and the food are a 10/10! The only thing to be aware of is on the website some of the prices and pictures are not updated to the current prices and presentation of products! But no points deducted on my end because Elise did inform me they’re in the process of changing some things on the website around. I will definitely be back here very soon to try some more of their menu items!“

“I absolutely love Joe Phifers! I usually frequent this establishment at least twice a week because my dad enjoys their fried chicken sandwiches and barbecue sandwiches. The food is great and the family that owns Joe Phifer’s are even greater! Let’s all support our community and keep our historic businesses thriving!“

“My husband and I have eaten at The Twisted Oak twice in a year and both times the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Most recently we ate dinner with another couple, arriving at 6pm on a Saturday evening in May. Unfortunately it took nearly 40 minutes between the time we were seated and our food arrived. I ordered the Mediterranean Salmon with asparagus (no rice as I am currently eating keto) and my food was really delicious. At $22 I think it was well worth the money. The couple we were dining with really seemed to enjoy their meals as well. I would have given 5 stars across the board, but the young man who waited on us seemed to be in a hurry when taking our appetizers and left before we could finish ordering. I am also a little surprised that the restaurant doesn’t offer any bread with the meals considering the lengthy wait times between ordering and arrival of the entrees. Overall a positive dining experience with better than average quality of the dishes.“

“Love this place for lunch especially during mild weather in the falls because you can enjoy food outside and get some sun.Unless you are a bodybuilder, half sandwich is pretty good size for a meal. Other deli place you might need a full sandwich because they skim on the meat but not here. Every thing is good, quality meat, and now they also have soup. Perfect combo for lunch. I like this better than Groucho and Publix because of the environment and servings.“

“If you’re like me and get jealous of those pizzas they serve in the big city’s like Chicago or NY and think you can only get great Italian American food in one of those places…you are in luck…the food here is as good if not better than any pizzeria in a big city…I’ll go one step further, if you only just had a bowl of their gravy and nothing else you will swear you died and went to heaven…it’s that good and I don’t hardly ever leave reviews…sometimes food can remind me that life is beautiful…this is one of those places…“

“Stopped here on the way from Tennessee to Salisbury for a festival. Totally a random pick. Arrived just as they were opening. The staff was very gracious and welcoming despite that. They offered information, answered questions and were genuinely very friendly. The food was EXCELLENT. They were willing the make modifications to anything and it was obvious everything was fresh. My husband thought the Philly was one of the best he has ever had. I highly recommend the homemade chips. The place looks very basic… do not let that fool you. Glad we made the stop and will stop again when I’m in the area.“

“I wanted Mexican but needed comfort food and Cozumel dished up both! The ACP (arroz con pollo aka chicken & rice) was perfection. The chicken pieces were generous and tender, the onions carmelized, and the cheese sauce mild and creamy. The ACP wasn't spicy but had a lovely heat. Very good sized portion as well. The churros were still warm and had melted the whipped cream but no worries, still crunchy and so good. I am definitely ordered from Cozumel again!“

“Just an awsome place. My wife and i found this place a while back and never have had anything but a great dinning experiance. The first thing you see when you enter is the sushi counter, everything is displayed, so i think they are very proud of thair product, as they should. The girls are wonderfull and very polite. I have been there during closing and they have clean everything with a watchfull eye from the mgr. Its nice to know when we are there it will be great food with great service. With the amount of dine in and takeout im sure they will be around for some time.

“This is a basic little cafeteria attached to a pharmacy but they have some surprisingly delicious food. It’s not gourmet, but they have breakfast, salads, sandwiches, soup, comfort, food, and burgers. They are reasonably priced. The service is very prompt and friendly and it’s convenient.“

“This is a tiny restaurant with tables and chairs that are not attractive. The bathroom was gross. The food was great!! Good prices! Many Latinos visited the restaurant while we were there. Good sign of great Mexican food. And it was great!!!“

“Why didnt I swing in sooner. I unload up the road all the time but jave never stopped in. Finally did and man i wish i had sooner. Got a buffalo cut prime rib to go and it was amazing. Perfectly cook and tender to it. Will definitely be stopping again next time im down“

“I was alone and an older person...usually that means I get quick surface service. This evening the service was great. The food was wonderful and when I asked to take leftovers home they were neatly packaged and extra rolls were added. This is my second solo visit and I will go back! And they give a military discount which as a veteran I really appreciate!“

“Marcos pizza is surprisingly good. Regarding this particular location, we order take out, and they pretty much always have it ready extremely fast - usually in less than 12 min. The last 2 times they've overlooked an item on our order, but it hasn't been a big deal. We like this location and they do a great job on their pizzas.“
