“I was in Conover for the first time and took a client out to lunch at Dos Amigos. I liked the bar, and if I was in the area again, I would sit at the bar and have a margarita. For my meal, I had the carnitas, and the pork was delicious. It also comes with rice and beans. Dos Amigos is a very nice Mexican restaurant, and I would come back.“

“My hubby took me here for Valentine's day dinner. We got there early because of his work schedule. It was quiet and we're seated right away. Waiters name tag said trainee. He was polite and prompt with drink refills and food. I got the number 1, it comes with white rice, broccoli, steamed carrots, chicken, 2 shrimp, and your choice of either pork tenderloin or steak, add spring roll. I chose steak but i have had pork tenderloin before. It's 12.99, and Luke with everything else prices have gone up and quantity of food has gone down. The food still has the same quality in taste in my opinion which is a food thing. My husband got the number 18 which comes with vermicelli noodles chicken, 2 shrimp, and either pork or steak, spring roll as well. It also is 12.99. We both really enjoyed the meal and definitely will go back again.“

“I came here with two friends and it was a very average Mexican restaurant experience. Not good, not bad -- exactly what you expect when at a Mexican restaurant! I don't remember what I order but it was smothered in queso with avocado on top. It was delicious, especially scraping the inside part up with chips. Very delicious. The service was fairly quick so that was nice, but it generally felt like every other Mexican restaurant. Overall: good chips & good coca-cola & nice waiters!“

“The Boxcar Grille is a staple in the Claremont community and in Catawba County. The food is good. The best part is the salad bar. The service is decent. You may have to wait a little bit. “My family had supper on 2/17/24 at Hickory, NC Cracker Barrel. We were seated immediately at a large comfortable table and greeted by our waitress. Our food was hot and delicious and the servings were very generous. I would definitely recommend it and eat there again if I’m in the area.“

“My family member invited me to join them for lunch at Backstreets. Despite growing up here, I never knew this restaurant existed until now! I was hesitant at first to try it out because they didn’t have many vegan options. Actually, the only Vegan item I really found was the Asian Kale Salad. Needless to say, I’m happy I did decide to go because that salad was fabulous! It was very large and the flavors in the salad played a tune on my taste buds! Bouncing back and forth between sweet, savory, crunchy, and a hint of spice from the sriracha on the sides… It was the perfect balance for a perfect salad! My husband got the chicken fajita wrap, and he really really enjoyed it. He said it was one of the best wraps he’s had in a long time. My son who is a picky eater REALLY liked his burger, but wasn’t a big fan of the Macaroni and cheese. My husband was though, so take his word for it tasting fresh and made from scratch! My family chimed in and said the grilled chicken is perfection, that’s why they enjoy it as the protein on their salads. We came around lunch time on a week day, and there WAS a wait, but we waited around 10 minutes before we were seated, so that’s not too bad. Once seated and we placed our orders, our food didn’t take very long at all to arrive at the table. The waitresses were very accommodating! If it came to a chain restaurant or Backstreets, I’d definitely choose this place any time. I hope to see that they add more vegetarian and vegan options to their menu soon! If so, I’d become a regular myself! Dishes are around $10-$15 per person depending on what you order. It isn’t exactly a one cash sign establishment, but in this case, it’s a good price to pay if you’re looking for a flavorful dish. On top of that, you’re supporting a small business with a ton of culinary talent! I’d hate for anyone to miss out on that!“

“The hostesses were lacking. Came at lunch time on Thursday and there were two of them. It was difficult to get an answer out of them other than a 20-minute wait. We finally said okay and we waited. My questions were about outside or were there enough tables in the back that we would be seated in a timely manner. They could not comprehend our questions. They were very young.“

“GF and I came to Boca for dinner on her birthday. This was my first time going to the restaurant. We had reservations for 6 pm, showed up on time and were seated promptly. Our server showed up immediately bringing us water and taking our drink orders. When she brought the drinks (GF had a Blood Orange margarita, I had a glass of Pinot Noir, both of which were very good), we ordered food. If you've never been, the menu has a Mediterranean slant. We started with the tomato basil soup (which was excellent). We also had the Moroccan sliders, the calamari, sauteed mushrooms, and the sauteed shrimp. The food was good, service was prompt, the atmosphere was nice, and the bill was $112 including tip, which I didn't think was out of bounds. My overall rating is good, just not outstanding. Perhaps this just wasn't my favorite type of food, but I'm willing to go back and try some other different things from the menu.“

That was a huge bonus for the crew I was with. Not only do they have TV’s everywhere but there are a couple huge projector screens as well. You’ll never miss a game or highlight.The menu is a nice variety of pub food. One unique item was a build your own salad. I thought that was a nice touch. You don’t see that often if at all in the North. Their house side salad is still pretty big so beware if you order it as an additional side to your entree. Definitely not a problem, but if you ordered an entree those are pretty big portions as well.
