We visited on Saturday morning in Statesville for breakfast. The service was great, but the pancakes were so cold they wouldn't even melt the butter. The bacon was tough and I couldn't chew it. The syrup was cold (used to be heated). I was not pleased with my visit.

I think Cracker Barrel as we knew it is done. We were worried with all the new stuff going on with the CEO that the quality was going to go down. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying CB is gourmet food, but what I am saying is i move and travel a lot and 1 thing CB is, is consistent. This place was terrible. Prices are up, portions are down. Food does not taste the same, hash brown casserole was cold mush. Steak was tough and no flavor, pancakes had no flavor. 2 eggs looked more like one, also no flavor. The whole is menu is different. Missing many items and adding on some trash options. Very limited selection it feels. Transformation of the store has begun and it looks terrible. Can’t say enough to how much this was a terrible experience. Side note it was my son’s Bday and the waiter said she asked the rest of the servers and no one wanted to sing him happy Bday. I’m clearly not the only one either. I went Saturday during dinner and the parking lot was wide open, no wait and the inside wasn’t even half full.

The first coffee we ordered was cold waited for a new pot to brew and that pot was decaf and the waitress said she couldn’t brew anymore coffee. (It was over an hour before closing). The bacon looked and tasted like it was left over from earlier in the day and it was microwaved. The hash brown casserole was very soupy and also microwaved. The waitress promised a tea refill and after waiting for quite some time I had to stop and ask another waitress for a tea refill. I have never have such poor food or service at a Cracker Barrel before.

This time my phoned ahead to order takeout when I got home I was rather disappointed it was like the chicken tenders had sat under the heat lamp for some time before they ended up in my box as they were hard and very dry

The store smells like dog urine, like extremely bad. The restrooms were even worse. Yes, brought it to someone's attention before leaving a review, no, they did not care and looked at me like I was crazy. As we sat, wondering if anyone was going to take our drink order, there was a server that was clearly pissed, sweeping, slamming the broom into to bin and chairs. This went on for several minutes, while apparently OUR waitress cleared and cleaned the table beside of us... with out speaking a word. Did not wash her hands, and then came to take our order. It is 8pm on Wednesday evening and there are only approximately 5 tables. So definitely not busy. Im sure the food is going to be great....

We came here to conduct a meeting among 7 of us. Breakfast was what you would expect at a Cracker Barrel. They joined 2 tables together for us.
