We order Mama’s in Statesville at least once a week. Everytime the food amazing. Best pizza in town by far. Everything from cold sandwiches to pasta dishes are delicious. Best cold sandwiches in town for sure. Called last minute for some pizzas for some hungry firefighters, no questions asked except, “what do you want?” Missing out if you have not tried it.

From someone who's grown up in Long Island NY most of their life, I can tell you this pizza is Long Island style pizza. It's not the exact same as full NY city pizza but just as good. Their garlic knots were done in the same way as NY's style, but instead of using normal thick dough, they're made in a soft dinner roll way. Would still recommend ?.

My husband absolutely loves their eggplant parm pizza! So since we didn't have power I thought I would get him his fave!! So I called it in and I Was going to get gluten free crust so we could just both eat it instead of getting two pizzas since it is a little more expensive, When she said $25+, I said, "holy cow why is it that much"? They charge you a regular pizza price and $6 to get gluten free. I didn't understand, but I said just do a regular crust eggplant parm for my husband. She gave me the price and we hung up. Apparently she wasn't sure if I wanted it.So they tried to call me back and didn't get me, Remember I have no power, So they didn't make the pizza. So I get there and they didn't make it.So then I asked to speak to the manager which he was too busy to talk to me for the first fifteen minutes and I asked her if she put it in while I was waiting to speak to the manager and she said no. Within, I asked her for a number to the owner or someone higher than him. I would call back when they weren't busy. He finally come around and asked what the problem was and I told him that I called in an order.They didn't do it and then i'm sitting here trying to order and she didn't put it in because she was uncertain if I wanted it or not but I had told her I did. Why would you call in order a pizza if you didn't want it.? He then said "give him 5 minutes and it would be ready" Another guy came to ring me up.And I said I don't think I should have to pay this price for this pizza when i've waited an hour and fifteen minutes. He said well, "you're not getting it for free". I said, "well then keep it" #1, I didn't ask for it free, but #2 you are in the wrong, so you should make it right somehow!! These 2 guys are rude as all get out!! The girl usually isn't that bad, she was extremely busy, but sheese own up to your mistake!! I will do a review everyday with 1's til I speak to the owner! It's ridiculous the way those guys treat customers!!! ????

Found out about this place from a customer in Statesville. Now that I found this place it is the best Italian food in North Carolina very close to new york style. Definitely give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Trust me always good food
