⭐️ One Star – Canned Sauce, Bare Hands, and Disrespect
I placed a dine-in order and was seated — but quickly realized I wasn’t going to stay. The first server who approached me is someone I’ve had negative experiences with at another restaurant. She clearly didn’t want to serve me, passed me off to someone else, and then kept staring at me from across the room with her mouth hanging open like she was watching a spectacle. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and frankly bizarre.
Because of that, I switched my order to go. While waiting in the pickup area, I saw them pour Alfredo sauce out of a jar and use bare hands to plate the pasta. No gloves, no utensils — just hands. And this is for a $15 dish they’re marketing as restaurant-quality? Absolutely not.
I was also told my order came with a side salad, and when I requested Caesar, I was told there would be an upcharge. That made no sense. A Caesar salad typically has fewer ingredients than a basic side salad. Lettuce, croutons, and dressing — that’s it. So why the charge? Just another red flag.
At that point, I walked out. I didn’t take the food, and I didn’t pay for it. I won’t be back.
If they’re going to call themselves an Italian restaurant, they should probably be making Italian sausages in-house and serving fresh, properly prepared food. I’ll be going to a real Italian restaurant like Sorrento or Amalfi in Statesville instead.

We went in 10 mins before opening and was welcomed. Started with appetizer bruesetta which was delicious. Had Zuppa De Pesce for my entree. The flavor was divine. Montana was our waitress who was awesome. Very good fine dining. Chef Alex also came to out table to make sure everything was good. Don't miss experience of wonderful food.

From start to finish one of the best meals I ate! The sautéed calamari was beyond delicious. Cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were perfect and the chicken with cream sauce and mushrooms with artichokes was divine. Our server Yvonne was so sweet. We stopped in as a halfway point from Florida. What a gem!! Wish I lived closer
Lasr week i enjoyed celebrating with my family with a fine meal prepared by Alex. We have enjoyed his cooking for 15 years...and once again he has confirmed why I believe Mezzaluna II is the best restaurant in the region. Thank you Alex and team for providing a cherishble experience and savory meal. I can't wait our next viait.

My favorite restaurant in downtown! The service with Nikki is always great and the food is always delicious! What makes it even more special is the kindness of making “pizza” for my daughter - bread topped with a little mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce toasted in the oven. Love this little gem so much!
