Drove 15 minutes to get there only to find it locked even though people were inside. No one ever came out to explain why.

The place is clean and looks nice. However we walked in and there was no one at the registers to take our order. We stood there for 3 minutes at least before anyone came to take our order. We took our order to go and when we looked in the bag on the road we discovered that they messed up two out of our four items and the apple we got as one of our sides has a big bruise on it. We ordered the Grilled chicken & avo BLT. It had no avocado or lettuce on it! And barely a piece of bacon. You can see how it’s advertised vs what we got. Then we also ordered a kids turkey & white cheddar sandwich. It came out with no cheese at all! The other two items were the kids grilled cheese which was good and the Strawberry Caprese salad which was also good. Unfortunately on the whole though a poor experience here. Panera is usually really good but unfortunately we Do NOT recommend eating here it was a let down

Update, still the worst fast food in statesville and the attitudes are terrible in addition to being over priced. What happened to you get what you pay for ?

I don’t get what the 1 star reviews are talking about, but this location is golden. We came here for lunch from a road trip, and the food came out in 6-12 minutes, and it was prepared carefully and was tasty as usual. Fast service, good food, and upgraded location

No one working the front register and the self served area was not functioning properly.

I’m really upset because Panera is one of my favorite places to eat at. I love the food! I get it almost all the time. I will have to say the Panera at Statesville always messes up my order. The past four times I have gone they messed up one to a few things, and a few times prior. It really upsets me because I get home and realize things are missing and i guess i should start checking the bag, but you shouldn’t have to. I’m not one usually to complain, especially since I have worked in the food industry before, but it frustrates me when you spend money on food that’s already pretty pricey and its in correct. I ordered a sandwich today and modified a few things. None of my modifications were on there. I also got a salad and put extra dressing and there’s hardly any dressing….

This is my order below with the modifications and in the pics next to it you can clearly see nothings added to my sandwich. (No extra chicken no extra dressing and no Arugula, lettuce) The salad is supposed to have a double extra dressing and it does not…..

Like where was the chicken and stuff that was supposed to be in my sandwich???

I now understand why the local Waffle House has a higher rating than this Panera. Spinach bacon souffle had little to no egg mixture in it and the spinach and bacon was non existent as well. My iced caramel latte was missing whipped cream. All their buzzers were dead and not charging, and we were there at 7:30am so they hadn't been open long enough for the buzzers to all be dead. We were the only ones here and never knew our food was ready till we looked and saw it sitting on the counter because no one called out my name.

The issue with their food is that the produce sometimes isn’t 100% correct the sandwiches aren’t correctly made 100% and it’s subpar at Best. If you have an option before it closes go somewhere else.

Choose another Panera location. We came with our 2 little boys. They had not had dinner and it was 30 minutes before they close. One of the girls working came twice to tell us “we’re getting ready to close” , didn’t even let my boys finish their soup. There wasn’t anyone at the register to take our order. Very unprofessional is an understatement! Look for another Panera to dine in please !

If i could leave zero I would lol. I don’t know how incompetent the staff can be here. This is my second and last visit at this location. BOTH times I ordered a grilled cheese. First visit, not cooked at all - just bread and cheese pretty much. Okay, fine - said something only for the sandwich to be remade the same way.

I go again today via drive thru because I haven’t been feeling well and needed something light, decided to give them a go again. I specifically requested that both grilled cheeses be toasted extra crispy and explained what happened last time I ordered. The young lady who took my order and seen me at the window was very sweet and polite, no complaints - but whoever cooked my sandwich, seriously looked at it - slapped 3 pieces of cheese on and didn’t even toast it. It’s like putting toddlers at a stove and handing them a spatula. I don’t even have it in me to go back and complain, they don’t care. If it took $18 to find out this place isn’t worth it, doesn’t seem bad to me.

I like their food but it seems skimpy for what I pay. Today I got the new potato soup (they were out of the broccoli soup) and the tuna sandwich. I used the boho of get one and get another for $5. I paid $24.23. I purposely don’t get the “pick two” because then I get even less. It is usually hit or miss. I keep going there for when I’m on the mood for soup. Frustrated.

Best sweet tea I’ve had even from hundreds of other Paneras. Good to be in the South again! Friendly staff.
