I am traveling and happened to come across this cafe, it had 4.5 stars on here so I gave it a try. I came around 8, when I walked in I was greeted with a big smile from staff! My server Lynett was outstanding! She is a worker and you can tell she loves what she does! (I was a server for a while so I had to give credit where it was due!) I was also checked on by 2 other servers while they were passing by just to make sure I was all set! With all of that being said my service was great! The issue was my food… my biscuit was cold, my grits were really thick and almost dry, and my eggs had black specks all in them (not pepper.) I had already waited a while on my food so I didn’t want to wait longer for a different plate. But when I looked at the pictures on here they did not look like this. Overall it was a positive experience because everyone was so kind, but the food could use a little TLC.

The food is great here and definitely worth the try but the male server on Friday mornings is terrible. He has been our server twice and both times he will take our order then walk off without asking if that’s all. Then, he will disappear for the rest of the time and will have to be flagged down for refills/ to go box. Also, some of their breakfast meals include tea/coffee but it seems that not all the cashiers are aware of this. I was charged for 2 drinks last time and when I asked about it the cashier said the kids meals did not include drinks (kids ordered water) and when I explained that they were for the breakfast combos she refunded the money back but seemed bothered by the fact that I pointed it out. Overall, the other 3 female waitresses are awesome! I love what they are about so I will continue to support.

I would never go back to eat there. The food is too expensive and nothing is fresh. They're not even using real stoves. They using warmers my friend a chef there and took pictures

My wife found a hair in her food. The wait staff was rude and basically accused her of it being her own hair. I visited twice that day. My first and last time.
Understand its a church cafe but 25 dollars for pre cooked bacon and fresh toast is insane food put it a warmer not even hot never goinj bavk ever legal robbery

Had a conference in the area Staff was very nice, friendly and attentive n food was delicious I had the pork chops n ordered a chef salad to go because my friend ordered n it looked delicious. The salad did not disappoint. The pork chops were thick n juicy

This is a neat little restaurant on the west side of Statesville. Their service was excellent and friendly. The food was great and their menu offers a decent selection. The atmosphere is sort of like a country diner.
