We come to the Hickory area once a year for a food show and this is our second time visiting the Conover location and it's absolutely delicious!
I was so impressed on the first visit that I called the restaurant to let them know that it is the best Americanized Chinese food I've ever had.
Everything is obviously fresh and perfectly prepared.
At this point, I firmly believe that the only thing in the restaurant that's not scratch made are the fortune cookies.
The staff are very nice and the food is amazing!
Portions are very generous and definitely shareable.
I've been in the foodservice brokerage business for 16 years, and in foodservice in general for 48 years and done dozens of shows in NC and SC and I've eaten at the best restaurants in the region and worked with the top Chefs from the coast to the mountains.
Rice Fun is in a class by themselves in the "Chinese" restaurant segment.
I can't really convey how impressed I am with the food and the people in a facebook post.
I'll just give them 10 freaking stars!

Just ordered some General Tso's Chicken and when I started eating it at home I noticed it didn't taste like General Tso's at all. They used Soy sauce instead of the sauce they normally use for General Tso's. I don't mind a little soy sauce but this is ridiculous. Not coming back for a long time.

Most of the time it's good. I'm never one to complain about food that people work hard over. But because of the cold, abrasive interaction with the cashier I will never be coming back here again. How terrible of a human being do you have to be in order to get someone to dislike you within a minute.

The old lady at the counter needs training in decency and manners, the food is delicious but the restaurant lacks professionalism. Keep this up and they're going to lose a customer

1st time trying Rice Fun and it exceeded my expectations. I had the sautéed vegetables in brown sauce, with tofu and it was delicious. The tofu was very moist and flavorful. The portion size was enough for 3 servings. I loved the fact that they allow you to omit items and replace them with others without short changing you. Will definitely return!
I recently ordered chicken wings, egg drop soup, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, egg rolls, crab rangoons, and Chinese donuts. The Chinese donuts were the only redeeming part of this meal—they were fresh and tasted as they should.
Everything else was absolutely subpar and frankly fit for the trash. The dishes were bland, stale, and carelessly prepared, showing a complete lack of respect for customers and basic culinary standards.
I don’t leave negative reviews lightly, but this was one of the worst takeout experiences I’ve ever had. If this restaurant wants to stay in business, I strongly recommend that they reevaluate the quality and preparation of its food. Never again and I will make it my business to steer anyone away from this location. I can't speak for any of the other establishments, however, I don't believe they would be any better.
Today is my sister's birthday and my mother is sick and unfortunately can't travel otherwise we would have eaten out. So now I instead of having a happy family meal in, we are all sad and hungry.

This place used to be great but for whatever reason they have been going down hill. Portion sizes have gotten smaller and my orders have had issues the last several times I've ordered. I even had an order continue to not be right when I took it back to be corrected. I used to love this place.

Don’t get the fried rice after lunch hours because they’ll give you the leftovers and it tastes old and nasty. So disappointed. The fried chicken was really good though.
