Shiki Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Man this place used to be good. Now the quality has gone down and the service is horrible

I ordered through Door Dash and they gave my driver the wrong food and when I called the restaurant he said they wouldn’t give me the correct order bc it went through a 3rd party. I hope they choke on that $13 meal and I’m going to make sure I let everyone on social media know not to eat here!!

The food was great. However when I tried to call to let them know of a problem the girl answering the phone all of a sudden couldn't hear me. So here's the picture of the metal that was in the food I was trying to report to them.

Ordered the Scallops and No Rice, extra veg. At one time I owned a seafood business out of this state. I bought all my seafood fresh, at the docks. Never have I ever seen or tasted "scallops" like these. Scallops should be sweet, soft with a delicate texture and of differing sizes. These tasted like fish, not sweet and succulent like scallops should, the texture was off and they were all basically the same size. There was no sweetness or lusciousness to these. The extra vegetables consisted of a large serving of mushy sliced carrots. Tossed the whole lot after a few bites. The Korean pancakes were tasty.

Very nice, very clean. The staff was very courteous and attentive. The food was amazing. One of the better places I have been to in Statesville. The presentation was much better than photo...I started eating because it looked and smelled so good, sorry.

Awesome food much better portions served than the other Shiki in Statesville for clarification I’m being honest about which one does the food the best and this spot is the best Japanese food with great taste fresh vegetables and great taste overall

My husband and I wanted to try a new sushi place. We went to Shiki and a roach was crawling on the booth and table. Luckily we hadn’t received our food yet. Absolutely gross -establishment was dirty and they need to deep clean. We will not be back.

sushi was good, not great but plan to come back and check out different ones; everyone else enjoyed their food , scallops to me were a little chewy; atmosphere is really RED red seats red walls red booths, I would recommend for you to make your own decisions
