Great roasts across the board. For me, one of the best coffees I've ever had is the Statesville Blend of Brazilian and Indian beans (Kudos, Andrew!). Noted for its kick, the flavor is what stands out more to me... so I left with a total of 8 pounds!

Walked into Lake Mountain and both teenagers working seemed bothered they had to get off their phones and get up to take my order. One of the girls literally had air pods in when taking my order, I had to repeat my order like 5 times because she refused to take them out. I ordered a matcha and it was hastily, and poorly made even though I was the only customer in the place. Service was terrible and the matcha was not good at all. I also ordered a bagel and they charged me 2 dollars for a tiny piece of creem cheese.

It's a great place for coffee and writing. But sometimes we do get bothered by individuals who refuse to leave our table when we aren't interested... but that isn't the coffee shops fault.

Great hometown atmosphere with food coming soon.

Favorite coffee spot around. We go almost every weekend in the morning to grab our usual. Pastries and muffins are awesome as well.

Expensive but the cold brew was good.

I'm at this coffee shop almost every weekday to enjoy my lunch break and to read. Love it here!

My Imperfect Diary

My friend and I visited this coffee shop after coming up from Charlotte, NC. The shop was beautiful and unique; however, the staff was not welcoming at all, which made the experience unpleasant. The coffee was good, but I would like to try the place again when there are friendlier people working.

Ordered a small chai. For the price point, the drink was much smaller than anticipated. The chai also tasted watered down.
Vibes were nice other than the multiple signs telling you to buy something. Service was fast.

This is the hub of downtown Statesville. The staff is super friendly and there is enough space so you don’t feel cramped and the coffee is so tasty. There is a selection of beer, wine and the like as well. The owner is readily available, super friendly and such a stand up dude. I only give it five stars because it doesn’t allow six… Phenomenal place!
