Good food and overall ok service though it does vary over the years. Unfortunately today August 2025, went to celebrate my dad's retirement with a party of 6 and had a few concerns...they didn't have Gluten-free pasta we ordered and waited until other food was out at the table until telling us... We specifically picked this place today because of Gluten-free option. To add, waitress was nice but didn't know the salad dressings offered and also demonstrated an unfamiliarity...
I have eaten at many Italian restaurants in the northeastern US major cities and we are so blessed to have this restaurant in Statesville. I have never gotten a meal that I thought wasn't excellent and tonight's Veal Romano was likely the best I've ever eaten. I can't recommend Sorrento's highly enough!
The food is really good. The restaurant was clean. The waitress was friendly.
The problem was management. A family near me had finished their meal. The gentleman had scooted his chair out to get up. The chair leg broke and the gentleman fell on the floor. The only people to check on him were the other patrons. No one came to see if he was hurt or the see if he needed another chair...NOTHING!! The waitress came by to give them their bill and asked how he was and that was...
