I lucked out and was able to get a spot for a tour that another party mischeduled for and couldn't attend, so I got a "private" tour. Stephanie was great as a guide. Nice bar with a selection of house specialty mixed drinks and pours of their whiskeys. Nice atmosphere at the bar/lounge. You can come in for a tasting or drinks alone if you want. There was a good food truck outside. Lots of Single Barrel and limited release selections in the store to pick up. I got lucky and picked up two bottles of the Panthers single Barrel release, which I previously missed and thought was gone. I can't wait until they do rick house tours.

Google says closes at 6:00 on Sundays. Made a u turn and drove back on 77. When we arrived at 5:07 they said they close at 5:00. Very disappointed. Please change your google listing.

Southern Distilling Company is a great place to visit! Friendly staff. I got there when they opened & got a personal tour do to I was the first visitor there. LOL.Patrick and Macy gave me a very informative tour. They are very knowledgeable & very friendly! Patrick walked me through all the samples I tried. I will say the Southern Star Double shot & Double Rye we’re my favorite!Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the young lady who greeted me and helped me pick out items to share with family and friend. She was very friendly & helpful.The owners should be proud of what they accomplished! Great product! Excellent staff!Whether your visiting the area or need to take a break from driving, stop in and visit Southern Distilling Company! You will not be disappointed!

Southern Distilling is located in Statesville, NC. It's a quick trick off the highway and well worth the trip. The distillery has its own bar, a tour and tastings at the end of the tour. Southern bottles under its own label and provides bourbon and other distilled products to bottlers. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you are in the Charlotte, NC you will find Southern to be a jewel of the area, merging regional tradition with modern day quality control and excellence. I look forward to going back soon!
