Not a place you want to be without a conceald carry. Small country place, but wanna be biker gangs and a weak owner have let it become a haven for coke heads doing lines in the bathroom. Statesville can do better

Rude, rude, rude! The "regulars"and bar tender all rude! We weren't the "locals", however just moved into the neighborhood & would have liked to have been. Nope, not coming back!

I am new to the Statesville area and decided to try out the Cedar Stump. I went in 2-3 evenings around 4:30 and it was a small, locals, laid back crowd which was really cool. The bartender that was working on a couple of Friday afternoons I went in for a couple of beers was anything but cordial, in fact rude would be compliment for the attitude she gives patrons. I decided to go back later on a Friday and Saturday night to hear some music, DJ on Friday and live music on Saturday. The crowd that hangs and drinks here after 8 pm is a very rough crowd that gets over served and saw lots drugs being taken by patrons openly with no one that works there trying to curb the activity, not even the bouncers try to curb any trouble before it happens. The entire place also reeked with the strong smell of marijuana both nights, and the later it got, the more trouble that started to happen or almost happened, therefore its not a good place to hang out later on a Friday or Saturday night for someone older/middle aged and mature. I will drop by again for a few beers, but definitely will not stay past 6:30-7:00, as that is when the younger,disrespectful, trashy crowd shows up and the entire vibe changes from relaxing to unsettling at best. Great locals crowd that wants to relax and have a few beers/drinks early evening after work, but after that I can't and won't recommend anyone going later in the evening and into the night. The only reason I decided to stop here is because its the only watering hole on the east side of town, if I had a alternative I would definitely try that.

the blond headed chick that worked this night of 7/25/2024 she thought she was gunna get something over on someone with a $30 tip then she had to refund it so we gave her $3 then she said i personally dont think a $3 tip is fair in a snobby way so we gave her another $5. Never had this issue before but best believe she will never handle another card from us again. The other bar tenders are great . When we asked about it the blond headed chick said people do it all the time . Like whatttt whattttt the other bar tenders never have done that but you think its okay . Nopeeee not tonight honey right trick wrong bish

First time there in probably 10 yrs it was a quite lil bar then now they have djs ect pretty packed had a diverse age range and types of ppl the outside area was still nice and cool place to chill will warn ya just like at any bar ppl go past their limits and others encouraging it started a fight that turned into a brawl with fights all in the parking lot with crowds jumping in starting separate fights for no reason other than a free for all lol smh I'm sure ya can find videos of it all with all the ppl recording on their phones and of course the local PD arrives then posts up a lil down the road place was clean fairly priced just need a few more bartenders on busy nights

Food is decent for bar food always greeted as family, beer could be a little cheaper but they gotta make money always a pleasant stop

Something has changed. Gone is the musty, used carpet odor. The space is uncluttered and inviting. The staff is friendly. The drinks are poured properly. The uncontrollable drunken patrons are absent. It's nice. I am looking forward to giving these guys my money. However, it's time to upgrade the POS. Gone are the days of holding credit/debit cards hostage. Upgrade, my friends. Upgrade.
